Sales and Marketing has always been of crucial importance for the growth of a company. Hence, a skilled and seasoned person in charge is crucial in ensuring the company is marketed in the most extensive yet feasible way as possible.
This is the cue for a compatible figure to perform the duty, and in this case, Debby Setiawaty continues in this new role at The Langham, Jakarta. She has 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry and an extensive resume in the area of marketing and public relations. Prior to joining the pre-opening team at The Langham, Jakarta in April 2021, she spent her time as Director of Communications at top-tier hotels in Jakarta. Her grip to always be committed and focused, to represent and lead, but also to find fun in her work has been an inspiration to her colleagues.
To open the first Langham Hotel in Southeast Asia and a luxurious hotel in the era of the pandemic was surely another level and a new experience, however, Debby was taking up the role as the hotel’s Director of Marketing Services. She has her own standards to fulfill and not even COVID could lower down her spirit in building the team and tasks to reach the hotel’s vision. Debby knew in and out how to aim the arrows to the right target markets and how to succeed in promoting The Langham, Jakarta’s service and hospitality to be nationally and globally renowned and awarded. With her talent in marketing and communications, she positioned and set The Langham as a benchmark for Jakarta’s hotel industry.
In her new role as the Director of Sales and Marketing, Debby will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives including room sales, catering and event sales, revenue management, brand marketing, public relations, digital marketing, and art designs. “With her vast experience and great leadership, we believe Debby will bring The Langham, Jakarta to even more success in the coming years”, said Alexander Poindl, General Manager of The Langham, Jakarta.
