Renjana Cita Srikandi Pekanbaru

Renjana Cita Srikandi Pekanbaru

After a successful event in Jakarta, the Grand Festival for the Empowerment of Women, Renjana Cita Srikandi, will continue its roadshow to major cities across Indonesia such as Pekanbaru, Bandung, Makassar, Medan, and Bali. Pekanbaru has been chosen as the first city for this roadshow, following a positive reception in Jakarta in May 2024 with over 8,000 visitors over three days. Under the theme “Energizing You, Elevating Each Other,” the event aims to empower Indonesian women by enhancing their competencies and fostering collaboration among them.

Renjana Cita Srikandi features three key elements: Karsa, Kriya, and Karya. Karsa focuses on expanding knowledge and positive motivation by presenting inspirational women who share their insights and experiences through "Gelar Wicara" sessions. Kriya offers workshop programs for talent development and enhancement with local communities such as Ges Floral, Kawan Sekarya, Sya Sky Studio, Ngepaint Yuk, and more. Lastly, Karya showcases performances in arts such as music, dance, and fashion, along with a small business fair.

Pekanbaru was selected as the starting city for the Renjana Cita Srikandi roadshow due to its significant potential and the high spirit of many accomplished women who have made substantial contributions in various fields, including business, arts, and culture, at provincial, national, regional, and international levels.

Prior to the series of Renjana Cita Srikandi activities, a Press Conference was held to inform the media, which will disseminate the information to the general public. Key points of focus include how Renjana Cita Srikandi can serve as a platform for commitment and self-improvement for women. The Press Conference took place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Ratatia Rattan Handmade, attended by M Job Kurniawan AP M.Si (Assistant II SetDa of Riau Province), Alfa Frisa Septiana (Representative of Renjana Cita Srikandi), Tia Juwita (Owner of Ratatia Rattan Handmade), Andiny Yuliani (Owner of Andini Collection), Marlian Dwi Ratih (Owner of Mahacinta Jewelry), and several sponsor representatives.

An interesting discussion at the Press Conference highlighted the hope that Renjana Cita Srikandi in Pekanbaru could become a momentum for creativity and the sustainability of women’s work. “The excitement will be part of a new business innovation involving creativity with stone and copper wire. We will also directly involve hearing-impaired friends as assistant trainers for the upcoming activities,” said Mahacinta Jewelry owner Marlian Dwi Ratih (20/8/2024). This aligns with the inclusive approach of Renjana Cita Srikandi, which will feature facilities for people with disabilities, including sign language interpreters and disability-friendly areas. Full support from the Riau Provincial Government further strengthens our commitment to empowering Indonesian women.

This sentiment was echoed by other female speakers, many of whom are also participants in the Grand Festival for the Empowerment of Women. They will provide extensive training and hope to serve as sources of motivation and inspiration for other women to achieve even greater accomplishments.

Additionally, a representative from the Riau Provincial Government stated, “The expected impact of this event is for women in Riau to achieve global recognition. It would be even better if they could step onto the international stage, and they must have the courage to stand out and compete globally.” said M Job Kurniawan AP M.Si (20/8/2024).

The Grand Festival for the Empowerment of Indonesian Women, taking place over three days at the Riau Governor’s Office Field and the BRK Syariah Tower Ballroom, will feature more than 70 inspiring women, including Prilly Latuconsina, Yura Yunita, Rossa, Agnez Mo, Putri Ariani, Iyeth Bustami, GAC, Marion Jola, Mulan Jameela, Salma Salsabil, Fenita Arie, Tasya Farasya, Raline Shah, Chef Sisca Soewitomo, Chef Marinka, Chef Bu Rudy, Lenggogeni Faruk Halilintar, Ayu Ting Ting, Melody Laksani, Titi Kamal, Ghina Raihanah, Monalisa Sembor, and many more.
