A LITTLE PIECE OF BRAUD, NOW IN KYOTO

BRAUD is taking a little piece of home to Kyoto.

Opened on 9 October 2026 in Kawaramachi, Kyoto, BRAUD Pocket Kyoto marks BRAUD’s first international outlet, bringing the brand’s approach to baking, breakfast and good food to Japan for the very first time.

Small in size but full of the same big spirit, BRAUD Pocket is a new format for the brand: a little pocket of BRAUD made for everyday routine. The Kyoto outpost will serve a selection of focaccias, breakfast dishes and freshly baked goods, bringing together familiar BRAUD favourites and a menu shaped for its new home.

For the kitchen, BRAUD will lead the food offering, while Tokyo-based Matcha Passport will take over the bar, bringing its own perspective on matcha and Japanese tea to the space.

The Kyoto menu will feature a selection of focaccias, breakfast dishes and freshly baked goods.

At the core of the menu are Focaccia Sandwiches, with three combinations: Vegan Focaccia, layered with pesto, roasted eggplant, zucchini and seasoned tomato; Beef & Pickle, with beef pastrami, Emmental, mozzarella, gherkin and rocket; and Cheese & Cold Cuts, pairing chicken ham, fresh burrata, honey mustard, honey and rocket.

For something simpler, Focaccia with Toppings lets the bread take the display stage. Options include Blueberry & Strawberry, finished with the OG glaze; Tomato & Red Onion, with oregano oil; and Rosemary & Sea Salt, topped with fresh rosemary and sea salt.

Set in Kawaramachi, one of Kyoto’s lively, touristy, and central neighbourhoods, BRAUD Pocket Kyoto is a new chapter for BRAUD, bringing the same heart that has grown from a small home bakery in Bali to a community of cafes, bakeries and food spaces across Bali and Jakarta, now a little further from home.
