Doncaster College students visit to Indonesia for unique business & culture experience

Students from Doncaster (DN) Colleges arrived in Jakarta this week. 12 BritCham members and stakeholders will be hosting a range of activities that represent a unique showcase of the Indonesia business culture. This visit marks a pivotal moment in their professional and academic growth. This initiative is part of the Turing Education Development Grant and is supported by BritCham Indonesia through its Business Centre unit that has provided market access support to over 1000 companies in the last 12 years. This opportunity promises to provide invaluable insights and experiences, fostering international connections and advancing their future careers. 

During their two-week stay, the students will have the unique opportunity to explore a variety of leading companies spanning several sectors, including banking, hospitality, retail, property, transportation, manufacturing, and other industries. This diverse exposure aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of business operations within the dynamic Indonesian market, especially in Jabodetabek. The companies that will participate in this programme include iconic names, such as Jakarta Land (Jardines), Cathay Pacific, Dharmawangsa Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Siloam Hospital Group, Kellys Express, DIGIMAP, Unilever, Shell, HSBC, Dharma Group, Mott Macdonald, Makarim & Taira S., Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO), Indonesia Olympic Committee (NOC), and others. 

This programme reflects BritCham Indonesia's commitment to nurturing future business leaders and strengthening relationships between UK and Indonesia, by particularly in this

year celebrating 75th years of trading relationship, facilitating interactions between students and industry, the programme aims to inspire the next generation to excel in their professional endeavors and contribute positively to global business communities and the expansion of Anglo Indonesia relationship in general.
