Collective Exhibition “Out of Nowhere, Volume 2 : Mental Reflection : Ngeheng, Semesta’s Gallery Jakarta.

 

Semesta’s Gallery has successfully showcased the collective work of international artists, including Indonesian artists from Sumatra to East Nusa Tenggara. The exhibition carries the theme “Mental Reflection : Ngeheng”, highlighting awareness of mental health in artistic practice through an honest, open and personal approach. The artists personal messages can be felt by visitors who see and attend the gallery. Another purpose of this exhibition is to celebrate gestural freedom as a means of voicing unrest and wounds that are difficult to express verbally, added the curator Irene Agrivina.

 

The opening ceremony was opened by Cosmas Gozali, a renowned an architect and art collector deeply involved in the Indonesia art scene. The 37 artists presented their works at the exhibition, commended by Cosmas Gozali for their technical expertise and the beautifully designed gallery space. His remarks affirmed that Semesta’s Gallery should be on the radar of the Indonesian art scene. 

 

 

 

Hundreds of visitors who came at the opening of the nuances of  the gallery space, the garden and of course dozens of works presented by the artists, the artist who attended the opening of exhibition included Bob Sick Yudhita (Jogja), Bob Marjinal (Jakarta), Ismet ZE (Bandung), Andra Semesta (Jakarta), Fitra Rahardjo (Banten), Gede Austana (Bali/Australia), Ryan LH (Bandung), Digie Sigit (Jogja), Patub Porx (Jogja), Refi Mascot (Jakarta), Junko Pontoh (Jakarta/Jepang),  Radilah (Jogja), Dieni Kartadinata (Bandung), Erwin x Paulina Erlangga (Bandung), Novianti x Chandra (Tanggerang Selatan) and many more.

 

The excitement continued with a critical and dramatic art performance by Muhlis, whose colorful body paint was responded to by visitors and other artists. As the night progressed, the excitement intensified with musical performances by Tunas Muda, Roadblock Dub Collective, Sampar x MC Eloops, Chalice dan Young and Uslees. 

 

 

The exhibition continues from August 9 -31, 2025, enjoy the artworks in the anomalous natural atmosphere of South Jakarta, full of forests, beautiful and spacious parks and shop for foods, books and art supplies with discounts ranging from 10% to 15%.
