THE LANGHAM, JAKARTA MARKS 4TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A CELEBRATION OF TOGETHERNESS AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT
Four years on from its grand debut, The Langham, Jakarta has firmly established itself as one of the city’s most refined destinations for hospitality, dining, and lifestyle. To mark this significant anniversary, the hotel is not only celebrating its own journey of growth and achievement but also reaffirming its role as a thoughtful member of Jakarta’s wider community.
This year’s celebration is not solely a look back, but rather a gesture of looking outward — embracing the spirit of gratitude through a week-long programme of meaningful initiatives. From intimate moments with colleagues to heartfelt contributions to children and families across the city, the anniversary was designed as an expression of care, appreciation, and connection.

The week commenced on Tuesday, 9 September, with an intimate gathering at Palm Court, where colleagues joined for a traditional tumpengan lunch. Later that afternoon, the team extended their joy to the SCBD neighbourhood, distributing meals and smiles to the surrounding community.
On Wednesday, 10 September, the culinary team and engineers visited Sekolah Kami, where they prepared and served a meal for the children. Sharing lunch with the school community, alongside the hotel’s Executive Committee, created a truly memorable experience filled with warmth and laughter.
The spirit of generosity continued on Thursday, 11 September, when the team visited Panti Yatim Indonesia in Kebayoran Baru.

Essentials and donations were shared, but more importantly, time and joy were exchanged with the children in an afternoon of togetherness.
The week drew to a close on Friday, 12 September, with Blessed Friday at District 8. Beginning in the morning, culminating in a large-scale food sharing session after Friday prayers — a fitting conclusion underscoring the values of unity, gratitude, and compassion.
“At The Langham, Jakarta, our anniversary is not just a celebration of the past four years, but of the relationships we have built along the way,” said Alexander Poindl, General Manager. “Our story is written not only within the walls of the hotel, but also in the community around us. Sharing joy and giving back is, for us, the most genuine way of saying thank you.”

Debby Setiawaty, Director of Sales and Marketing, added: “This fourth anniversary is a milestone made meaningful by the people and communities who have stood with us. These initiatives are a heartfelt expression of our gratitude, and we hope they bring moments of happiness that extend far beyond our own celebrations.”
As The Langham, Jakarta marks this chapter, it remains committed to a philosophy where true hospitality is not only defined by refined service and timeless elegance, but also by empathy, generosity, and human connection.
