JBL’s New Sound Curve Takes Center Stage in Major Updates to the
JBL Tour Series Headphones and Earbuds Lineup
JBL has introduced a series of updates to its flagship JBL Tour ONE M3 headphones and JBL Tour PRO 3 earbuds, delivering enhanced audio performance and an improved user experience for both new and existing listeners.
The combination of premium design, high-quality sound, and class-leading features has made the Tour Series over-ear headphones and true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds stand out since their debut. But JBL is not stopping there. Subtle yet meaningful refinements to the JBL sound curve now deliver clearer and more accurate audio than ever before. These enhancements are accompanied by significant user interface updates that transform the way users interact with the Smart Charging Case™ and JBL SMART Tx.
A More Natural and Accurate Sound Curve
JBL has introduced an updated sound curve for the JBL Tour ONE M3. Built upon the industry-renowned Harman Curve and extensively evaluated by "Golden Ears"—listeners with exceptional auditory sensitivity—as well as controlled listening panels, the refined tuning has also been independently validated by SenseLab at Force Technology.
The new JBL sound curve is now available for the Tour ONE M3 through an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update for existing models. Listeners will experience tighter, more natural bass, along with subtle refinements to the mid and high frequencies. The result is clearer, more balanced sound that remains faithful to the artist's original recording. Enjoy an immersive listening experience with cleaner vocals, more lifelike instruments, and enhanced clarity across every detail of the audio spectrum, setting a new benchmark for precision and transparency.
"Advancements in devices, increasingly rich content, and smarter streaming services have transformed the way listeners across Asia Pacific experience audio today, making them more discerning about sound quality and detail. At JBL, we continuously seek opportunities to elevate audio performance, and we believe now is the right time to further refine the JBL sound curve across our premium headphone lineup. Our flagship JBL Tour ONE M3 is the first to feature this latest sound curve, designed to deliver the most natural and clearest listening experience we have ever achieved," said Grace Koh, General Manager and Vice President, Consumer Audio, HARMAN Asia Pacific.
Smarter, Smoother, and More Intuitive User Experience
JBL introduced a new approach to the TWS earbud experience with the launch of the Smart Charging Case™, and is now rolling out an updated user interface for both the Smart Charging Case™ and JBL SMART Tx, designed to make every interaction faster, clearer, and more intuitive.
The update introduces a combined horizontal and vertical menu navigation system, making it easier to access favorite menu tiles. Enhanced graphics, larger icons, and refreshed typography provide smoother access to advanced features, from switching audio sources to joining or creating Auracast™ broadcasts.
Key Updates Include:
Larger feature icons with refreshed typography for clearer controls.
Updated color scheme for improved navigation.
Optimized layout requiring fewer user interactions.
Clearer visual hierarchy for advanced settings and connectivity.
The JBL sound curve and user interface updates are now being distributed via OTA to existing devices:
JBL Tour ONE M3 sound curve firmware version 4.8.0 – Available now.
JBL SMART Tx user interface firmware version 7.7.0 – Available now.
JBL Tour PRO 3 Smart Charging Case™ user interface firmware – Available now.
