International Coffee Week at Citadines was celebrated with joy and excitement throughout October, offering coffee lovers an unforgettable journey filled with flavors, stories, and shared experiences in every cup. Embracing For The Love of Coffee, Citadines honored its brand signature and deep-rooted passion for coffee, inviting guests to join a variety of events that celebrated the art and enjoyment of coffee. From October 12 to 27, Citadines was infused with a lively coffee spirit, making each gathering a heartwarming experience of togetherness.
"As part of Citadines' brand sigantures, 'For The Love of Coffee' represents our deep love for coffee and our desire to share this experience with our guests. The celebration began on October 12 with a coffee-tasting experience at Bacha Coffee. Long-stay guests from Citadines Sudirman and Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta enjoyed a range of rich coffee profiles—from the fresh, vibrant notes of African blends to the full-bodied, aromatic flavors of Latin American beans. Beyond simply tasting, guests learned about the fascinating journey of each coffee bean, from the farms to their cups, deepening their appreciation for the world of coffee.
On October 17, Citadines held The Ultimate Coffee Challenge – Blind Tasting, in partnership with Pandu Satria and Skynine Coffee. Guests explored manual brewing techniques and enjoyed a coffee cupping session, allowing them to identify and appreciate the distinctive aromas and flavors of each coffee. The event’s highlight was the blind tasting challenge, where participants competed to guess the origins of different coffees—a friendly, laughter-filled competition that brought everyone together.
The excitement peaked on October 24 as Citadines welcomed Indonesia’s 2018 Barista Champion, Muhammad Aga. Aga showcased his impressive coffee-making skills and creativity, captivating guests with his techniques. Some lucky attendees even got the chance to participate in a mini barista contest, learning directly from Aga and picking up new coffee skills. The lively, warm atmosphere of this event left everyone with memorable moments.
The series of events concluded on October 27 with a Sunday Coffee Morning at Jakarta’s Car-Free Day. Citadines joined the morning crowd, handing out free coffee drips and exclusive Ascott Star Rewards merchandise. Guests and passersby were invited to savor their coffee while enjoying outdoor activities with friends, demonstrating that coffee can bring a touch of happiness to any setting.
