25hours Hotel The Oddbird has officially touched down in the vibrant heart of Jakarta’s Sudirman Central Business District, marking the brand’s bold debut in Asia. Perched atop ASHTA Mall in District 8, this colorful and eclectic property delivers an immersive experience that blends heritage with modern culture. The hotel’s striking design and unique atmosphere are brought to life through the creative collaboration of three acclaimed studios: 1508 London, EDG Design, and Stylt Trampoli.
To celebrate its arrival, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird will host a lively grand opening on Friday, 25 April 2025 — an event inspired by the high-energy vibe of a block party. Guests can expect a dynamic line-up of renowned Indonesian performers across various spaces of the hotel.
The evening begins with a sunset set by DJ Asa Kusumah at the Cabana Pool from 5PM. As the night unfolds, El Fuego Latin Band will energize the COPA Terrace from 7PM, while Oddbird Bar will come alive with a back-to-back DJ session starting with DJ Patricia Schuldtz, followed by DJ Shawn Muljadi and DJ Tiara Eve until midnight. In the Ballroom, DJ Dipha Barus takes the stage from 8:30PM, paving the way for a special live performance by Indonesian pop sensation Afgan to close the night on a high note.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the hotel will feature roaming street magicians, tarot card readers, curated photo installations, and a pop-up art exhibit. Each corner of the hotel will showcase its own distinct ambiance, echoing themes of tropical lushness, urban vibrancy, and the whimsical soul of the Oddbird.

Key figures expected to attend the event include Alexander H. Kusuma, Chief Executive Officer of ASRI; Bruno Marti, Executive Vice President of Brand Marketing for 25hours Hotels; and Christoph Hoffmann, Founder of 25hours Hotels, along with invited guests and residents.
“This marks a major milestone for a brand that began 20 years ago in Hamburg,” said Christoph Hoffmann. “We hope this is just the beginning — with many more exciting projects to come in Indonesia.”
True to its theme of paradox, the hotel mirrors Jakarta’s spirit — a place where contrasts thrive in harmony. Interior design studio 1508 London, led from its Singapore office, embraced this duality, steering clear of a singular aesthetic and instead drawing inspiration from the city’s ever-evolving character to craft bold, immersive spaces.
The hotel’s guestrooms are divided into two concepts — Garden and Urban. Garden rooms offer a serene escape with botanical motifs and layered textures, while Urban rooms channel the city’s energy through industrial materials, geometric accents, and a streetscape-inspired color palette. These contrasting elements extend throughout the hotel, from co-working lounges framed by human-scale birdcages to the Oddbird Bar, where Indonesian vintage pieces meet sleek modern lines.
Catering to both leisure and business travelers, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird delivers a wide array of experiences beyond its guestrooms. Guests can dine at COPA, the Latin American restaurant; unwind at the rooftop Cabana Pool and bar; rejuvenate at VIDA Spa, complete with an oxygen chamber, infrared sauna, and communal ice bath; or find focus at the Creative Lounges — flexible meeting spaces with a homelike atmosphere.
Above the hotel's Living Room, a floating birdcage mezzanine opens into another co-working zone, offering panoramic city views. Adjacent to it, the 25hours Things Shop continues the playful urban garden narrative with concrete textures and curated retail finds. The rooftop Cabana Pool provides a refreshing escape amid greenery and skyline views, rounding out the hotel’s offerings.
Jesper Soerensen, General Manager of 25hours Hotel The Oddbird, shared:
"Through our creative synergy with 1508 London, EDG Design, and Stylt Trampoli, we’ve created a space that redefines how guests experience Jakarta — embracing its contrasts, telling its stories, and inviting all to explore this vibrant paradise of paradoxes.”
