Citadines Antasari Jakarta Plants 100 Mangrove Seedlings in Celebration of Ascott Culture Week 2026
Citadines Antasari Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability through “Activ∞ Protect Nature and Culture” a mangrove planting initiative held on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at the PIK Mangrove Ecotourism Area, in collaboration with MangroveJkt.id.
As part of the property's commitment to Ascott CARES, the initiative brought together 20 Citazens, the associates of Citadines Antasari Jakarta, to plant 100 mangrove seedlings as a tangible expression of their care for nature and contribution to environmental preservation.
The event commenced with a symbolic opening ceremony led by Paundra Hanutama, Founder of MangroveJkt.id, who symbolically presented the initiative to Ari Suciana, General Manager of Citadines Antasari Jakarta. The ceremony marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to raise environmental awareness and encourage active participation in protecting coastal ecosystems. The event was also attended by the 2027 Indonesia Mangrove Ambassador, adding further significance to the initiative's mission of promoting mangrove conservation.
Before the planting activity began, the participating Citazens received an educational briefing on mangroves, covering their ecological importance, their role in maintaining coastal ecosystems, and their contribution to biodiversity and shoreline protection. This knowledge-sharing session provided associates with a deeper understanding of the importance of mangrove conservation and the positive impact that collective action can have on the environment.
Through the planting of 100 mangrove seedlings, Citadines Antasari Jakarta sought to translate environmental awareness into meaningful action, reinforcing the belief that sustainability begins with understanding, participation, and shared responsibility.
The initiative also formed part of Ascott Culture Week 2026, celebrating the cultural values that shape how associates work, collaborate, and contribute to the community. Reflecting this year's spirit of “Champion Progress,” the activity encouraged associates to take proactive steps, embrace positive change, and create meaningful progress through practical initiatives that benefit both people and the planet.
Through its collaboration with MangroveJkt.id, Citadines Antasari Jakarta continues to encourage its associates to adopt environmentally conscious practices and recognise that even small collective efforts can contribute to long-term environmental preservation.
