Introducing a New Collaboration with Wine & Sake Social at Park Hyatt Jakarta
Jakarta is once again preparing to welcome Whisky Live Jakarta 2026, the annual international gathering that brings together whisky enthusiasts, industry professionals, and leading brands from around the world. Scheduled to take place on 11–12 April 2026 at Park Hyatt Jakarta, this year’s edition opens with Road to Whisky Live Jakarta 2026, an early preview designed to introduce the event’s evolving concept, new collaborations, and the broader tasting experiences planned for the year ahead.
This edition marks a strategic evolution for Whisky Live Jakarta. No longer centred solely on whisky, the 2026 programme expands into a cross-category celebration that places whisky, wine, sake, and selected spirits within a single, carefully curated platform. The shift is realised through a collaboration with Wine & Sake Social, presented by Jaddi Internasional, introducing a wider dimension to wine and sake appreciation in Indonesia.
As part of the opening series, the PRE-HEAT gathering present a selection of internationally recognised brands, including Aberlour, Kavalan, Kanosuke, Tamnavulin, Keris, Mijenta, Código 1530, and Corralejo. The collaboration also broadens the tasting landscape through wine and sake brands such as Black Stallion, Château Carbonneau, Pierre Chainier, Marrenon, Lake Chalice, Vasse Felix, Piccini, Born, and Dassai.
As with previous editions, Whisky Live Jakarta will continue to present a programme built around brand showcases, tasting sessions, masterclasses, and opportunities for direct exchange with global industry figures. The addition of Wine & Sake Social introduces a broader perspective, creating room for cross-category exploration rarely encountered within a single event.
Agung Sentosa, Director of Whisky Live Indonesia, described this year’s direction as a natural progression for the platform. “Whisky Live Jakarta has always been a space for enthusiasts to explore the character, craftsmanship, and stories behind each brand. This year, we are expanding that perspective through our collaboration with Wine & Sake Social, creating an experience that feels broader, more engaging, and more layered,” said Agung.
According to Andrew Soetiono, Technical Adviser of Whisky Live Indonesia, the format also reflects the way the industry continues to evolve. “Consumer preferences have become increasingly fluid. Exploration is no longer confined to a single category. By bringing whisky, wine, sake, and other spirits into one ecosystem, Whisky Live Jakarta becomes a more adaptive and educational platform, aligned with the direction of the global industry,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Charles Somasekar, Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverages Park Hyatt Jakarta, sees the approach as increasingly relevant to guest expectations. “Guests today are increasingly curious to explore beyond one category. This format not only creates that opportunity, but also keeps the experience curated and intentional,” he said.
