The Westin Jakarta Appoints Luca Carrino as Executive Chef

The Westin Jakarta is pleased to announce the  appointment of Luca Carrino as its new Executive Chef. In this role, Luca will  oversee the hotel’s overall culinary operations, including Seasonal Tastes,  Henshin, Daily Treats and Champagne Lounge, the Westin Club Lounge as well as  the Banquet team. 

Luca brings extensive experience from five-star luxury hotels and Michelin starred restaurants across Europe, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and the Middle  East. Prior to joining The Westin Jakarta, he served as Executive Sous Chef at  Mandarin Oriental Taipei and Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. He also  previously led the culinary team at Shangri-La Dubai as Executive Sous Chef.  

“I am excited to be in Jakarta, a city I have wanted to work in since my first visit  years ago. I was truly impressed by the rich flavors, vibrant culture and especially  the warmth of the people. I’m confident this will be a great experience at The  Westin Jakarta; the team is strong and there is tremendous potential here,” said  Luca. 

Born and raised in Italy, Luca draws strong inspiration from Italian cuisine. With  his international experience, he continuously explores new flavors and dining  destinations to deepen his culinary knowledge. In his leisure time, he enjoys  exercising, playing squash and spending time with friends.
