With over 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Sumit brings a wealth of expertise gained from an impressive career across renowned hotels, resorts, and residences worldwide.
The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place Welcomes General Manager Sumit Joshi
Sumit started his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where he spent more than two decades advancing through key leadership positions. During this time, he also served as a trainer at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, mentoring young professionals who have since become industry leaders. He later took on General Manager roles across both resort and city properties, honing his ability to seamlessly blend destination-driven experiences with the elegance of urban hospitality.

His expertise also extended into the world of luxury residences, where he led operations with The Lodha Group, shaping hospitality-driven living experiences in India’s most prestigious residential developments. Most recently, Sumit served as General Manager of JW Marriott Jakarta, leading one of the city’s flagship hotels with a focus on innovation, service culture, and guest engagement.
