Puan Bisa, a women's empowerment community, proudly announces the return of the Puan Bisa Festival 2025.Based on various surveys in the Asia-Pacific region, more than 40–50% of young women report a lack of confidence in their careers and lives, while many report that social norms and family expectations limit their ability to make their own decisions. Based on this data, the Puan Bisa Festival 2025 presents “Bright Deeds, Bold Steps as Wiranita: Turning Passion Into Purpose,” as this year’s grand theme which is expected to provide a platform for women to recognize their strengths, build positive networks, and design impactful social projects.
Puan Bisa is a women's empowerment organization with a movement to convey positive messages about self-improvement, careers, and mental health so that young women can spend their youth engaging in positive and purposeful activities. In line with its vision, Puan Bisa is holding the Puan Bisa Festival to celebrate its 5th anniversary.
Unlike previous years, which focused on celebrating and exhibiting women's work, Puan Bisa Festival 2025 presents a new, more participatory approach. Through Wira Nita Camp, participants are invited to actively engage in learning, reflection, and collaboration. This approach is expected to create a more profound and personal experience while inspiring participants to translate their learnings into real action.
For two weeks, Puan Bisa Festival 2025 was enlivened a series of pre-events in the form of Instagram Live sessions featuring inspiring young women, namely Marcella Ismanto, with the theme “Mental Health in the Digital Age: Too Online to Cope, But Still Cute & Healing,” dr. Celline Wijaya. with the theme “Glow Up Inside Out: Soft Power & Personal Branding for Gen Z” and Enta Fadila Tapisa MScwith the theme “Which is More Profitable: Being a Generalist vs. a Specialist?”
The event then continued on October 18 and 19, 2025. On the first day, participants attended two sessions featuring a talk show and a workshop. In the first session, Theresia Sheren, Founder of Dream Woman Academy, presented the theme “Me, Myself, and Power,” explaining that women always have the choice to rewrite their life stories regardless of the limitations and expectations of their social environment.
When asked about her inspiration for her work, Theresia Sheren explained that she wanted to show the true meaning of women's strength.
“I want to show that women can be strong, brave, and gentle at the same time. That's why I wrote Becoming Your Dream Woman and participated in Miss Universe Indonesia, because both are platforms to voice the strength and beauty of authentic women,” she said on Saturday (10/18).
Then, participants were asked to do visual mapping by mapping out the potential they wanted to develop, concrete steps, and their commitment to kick off their journey in making an impact on society. This session was expected to help participants better reflect on their potential. This is crucial for young women to find their calling when starting something so that it can serve as a reminder when facing tough challenges in the process of self-exploration.
“The word ‘why’ actually serves as a reminder of why we do something,” said Fadilla, Founder of Puan Bisa, in the keynote talk session on Saturday (18/10).
In the second session, Salma Kyana, Founder of Mengenal Diri and Puteri Indonesia DKI Jakarta Favorite 2023, shared the importance of young women establishing healthy boundaries. She also explained unhealthy boundary patterns that often arise in everyday life.
According to Kak Salma, the guilty feeling that keeps us stuck in unhealthy boundaries often stems from past experiences. In fact, establishing boundaries does not mean being selfish or unwilling to do good to others.
“Is it true that saying no makes us worthless? Of course not. Because we actually deserve to be loved. We deserve to feel enough and we are enough,” she said on Saturday (18/10).
To conclude the series of activities, the Puan Bisa Festival 2025 presented the Project Design Sprint on October 19, 2025. In this session, participants were given the opportunity to present the results of the social projects they developed according to their chosen themes. This activity was a form of implementation of the learning and collaboration that took place during the festival. It also served as a tangible symbol of Puan Bisa’s commitment to supporting women in innovating and creating sustainable social impact. In addition to the presentations, participants also received evaluations from three judges, including Marsya Nurmaranti (Executive Director of IndoRelawan), Dian Yunita Fadilla (Founder of Puan Bisa), and Renita Yulistiana (Founder of Suka Baca Movement Community).
Asa, Executive Director of Indorelawan, expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm and passion. She emphasized that what makes the Puan Bisa Festival different is its approach, which is not only entertaining but also provides a space for learning and self-development for participants.
“What makes the Puan Bisa Festival different is that here, participants are not only invited to have fun but are also guided to learn, go through a process, and dare to pitch their ideas in a safe space,” said Asa on Saturday (10/19).
One of the participants also shared her experience after participating in the series of activities. She admitted that she gained new experiences that were not only fun but also encouraged self-reflection and real action.
“I often participate in events, but this is the first time I've found one that really made me reflect and take action. It was really exciting because everyone was female, and the vibe was very supportive,” said one of the participants on Saturday (18/10).
In closing, Putri Audia Divayanti, Project Manager of Puan Bisa Festival 2025 and Chief Operating Officer of Puan Bisa, expressed her hope that Wira Nita Camp would continue to encourage women to grow and empower themselves.
“We believe that every woman has an entrepreneurial spirit within her, whether in the form of courage, independence, or the initiative to create change. Through the Wira Nita concept, we want to provide a space for women to explore, learn, and develop that potential together,” said Putri.
Through this spirit, the 2025 Puan Bisa Festival is expected to not only be a celebration but also a concrete step towards realizing Indonesian women who are empowered, influential, and mutually supportive of one another.
Through Wira Nita, we aim to embody the true essence of Puan Bisa, empowering women by connecting inspiration with everyday experiences. We believe every woman carries an entrepreneurial spirit within her: the courage to take initiative, the independence to act, and the drive to create meaningful change. With this concept, Puan Bisa provides a platform where women can explore their potential, expand their skills, and grow together as changemakers.
