Daniel Chaney as The New Executive Chef and Martin Weise as Director of Food and Beverage
The Westin Jakarta announces the appointment of Daniel Chaney as the new Executive Chef and Martin Weise as the new Director of Food and Beverage. Known as Chef Danny, Chaney will be in charge of the overall culinary experiences at The Westin Jakarta, while Weise will be overseeing all food and beverage operations of the hotel, including Seasonal Tastes, Henshin, Daily Treats, Events and Banquet team.
Prior to joining The Westin Jakarta, Chaney was an Executive Chef at The Stones Hotel - Legian Bali, Autograph Collection for two years, where he managed the culinary aspects of four restaurants and banquet as well as menu planning. He has an extensive 20-year experience which includes a stint in Rosewood Phnom Penh as a Chef De Cuisine, Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort in St. Lucia as Chef De Cuisine, Aryaduta Bali as the Executive Chef and more experiences across Hong Kong, Dubai, Bermuda and United States. Chef Danny has managed various award-winning establishments and has been awarded as Chef of the Year by Foodie Hong Kong back in 2013.

Previously, Weise was a Director of Food & Beverages at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place for two years, where he led the restaurant operations and the largest ballroom in town that caters up to 8,000 people. Before shifting his career to Food and Beverages, he was an Executive Chef at JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta for three years. Before moving to Asia, he has extensive culinary experience in other five-star hotels in Australia and Europe, such as Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, The Savoy Hotel in London, The Westin Sydney, Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin and more.
