Park Hyatt Jakarta Unveils Li Lian, an Elevated Cantonese Dining Experience

Named after the lotus flower (Lián, 莲), a symbol of purity, harmony, and enduring family bonds, Li Lian blends Cantonese heritage with contemporary elegance. The restaurant unfolds across thoughtfully crafted spaces: a warm and inviting entrance, a striking verandah with panoramic city views, a dedicated tea bar, two expansive living rooms, and six private dining rooms ideal for family gatherings, intimate celebrations, or social occasions.

The culinary direction is led by Executive Chinese Chef Tan Kwang Aik, whose two decades of experience span award-winning Chinese restaurants in luxury international hotels, including a Michelin-starred establishment. His menu features timeless Cantonese classics alongside refined modern interpretations, all crafted from premium, sustainably sourced local ingredients.

A centerpiece of the menu, the traditional Peking duck, is prepared by Duck Specialties Chef Victor, roasted over rambutan wood to impart a gentle smokiness and layered depth of flavor. Guests can also indulge in standout dishes such as wok-fried Wagyu beef tenderloin M8 with Yunnan trumpet mushrooms and asparagus in black pepper sauce, smoked marble goby with caramelized soy, and poached tiger grouper fillet with pickled cabbage, chili, tofu, and fish broth.

Dim Sum Master Chef Huang presents the Li Lian Signature Dim Sum Platter, while the tea bar offers a curated selection of fine brews to complete the experience.

Overseeing the dining journey is Restaurant Manager Jerry Choo from Kuala Lumpur, who shares, “It feels warm, familiar and comforting, a place where guests can enjoy family dinners, gatherings, date nights or simply a good meal.”

With its refined interiors, captivating skyline views, and commitment to thoughtful, personalized service, Li Lian becomes the sixth dining destination at Park Hyatt Jakarta and the property’s third full-service restaurant.
