The OSC Award 2026 celebrated and officially announced the 116 recipients who successfully earned full undergraduate (S1) scholarships after passing a highly competitive selection process on Friday, 17th July 2026.
This year's Online Scholarship Competition (OSC) attracted overwhelming interest from Indonesia's Gen Z, with 7,601 applicants from across the country competing for the prestigious scholarships. Participants underwent a rigorous and transparent selection process, including an online test, document screening, and a final examination before the top 116 candidates were chosen.
At least 10 leading private universities across Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi gave 145 full undergraduate scholarship slots to high school graduates, helping them pursue higher education without financial barriers. The universities included:
1. Ciputra University Jakarta
2. Ciputra University Surabaya
3. Fajar University
4. Gajayana University
5. Islamic University of Malang (UNISMA)
6. Mercu Buana University
7. Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra
8. Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN)
9. Muslim University of Indonesia
10. Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya
"The OSC Scholarship Program has been organised by Medcom.id since 2015 as part of our commitment to expanding access to higher education for Indonesia's younger generation. Through our collaboration with 10 of the country's leading private universities this year, we hope the recipients will make the most of this valuable opportunity to shape their future," said Herfindo Gading, Head of Corporate Communications at Medcom.id.
Twelve years of empowering future generations
OSC Award 2026 also marked an important milestone as the scholarship program entered its 12th year. Since its launch in 2015, the OSC Scholarship ecosystem has expanded significantly, partnering with more than 40 universities across Indonesia.
The program has made a tangible impact by helping over 4,080 Indonesian students gain access to higher education. Of those, 2,300 graduates have successfully entered the workforce and now contribute to a wide range of professional sectors.
Beyond covering tuition and semester fees, the OSC Scholarship also supports students' well-being while studying away from home. To date, the program has distributed more than IDR 4.3 billion in living allowance assistance to 394 scholarship recipients in need.
OSC Award 2026 is expected to inspire millions of Indonesian students by showcasing the achievements of the country's next generation of leaders as they begin their university journeys with the support of Medcom.id.
