The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, set to take place from February 13–23, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran, is just days away. This year’s IIMS holds even greater significance as it coincides with Valentine’s Day and the early-year preparations for the Eid holiday season.
IIMS 2025: The Perfect Event to Choose Your Dream Homecoming Vehicle for the Family
Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, stated that for many Indonesian families, Eid is an important occasion often associated with the need for a new vehicle for homecoming travel (mudik). As Eid approaches, many consider purchasing a new vehicle to ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient journey.
The government has also taken various measures to support the growth of the automotive sector and ensure smooth holiday travel during the 2025 Eid season. These include improvements and expansions of national highways and toll roads to facilitate easier travel, as well as the provision of public facilities such as rest areas and Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in multiple regions.
Additionally, the government has introduced policies to make purchasing new vehicles easier, such as a 3% discount on the Luxury Goods Sales Tax (PPnBM) for hybrid vehicles and a 10% government-subsidized Value-Added Tax (PPN DTP) for electric vehicles. At IIMS, manufacturers and Authorized Brand Holders (APM) will also offer attractive promotions to match consumers’ purchasing power.
“Dyandra Promosindo, along with all exhibition participants, has prepared special offers for visitors, including discounts on vehicles and top-tier products. This aligns with the government’s initiative to ensure easy access and facilities for Eid homecoming travel across provinces, tailored to people’s needs and budgets. Our hope is that IIMS will not only meet domestic demand but also serve as a prestigious event for automotive enthusiasts in Indonesia,” said Daswar Marpaung at the IIMS 2025 Press Conference.
