Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites Supports Sustainable Fashion Through Collaboration with Didiet Maulana
Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites once again collaborated with the well-known Indonesian fashion designer Didiet Maulana as the venue partner for Jadi Gini Belajar Bersama (JGBB) Fashion, hosting the creative workshop “Unlock Your Creative Potential: From Concept to Fashion Product” on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Held at the hotel's ballroom, the event welcomed 150 participants for a day of learning, creativity, and sharing ideas within the fashion industry.
Led by Didiet Maulana, Creative Director of IKAT Indonesia, alongside Zahra Damayanti, Textile Designer of IKAT Indonesia, the workshop introduced participants to the creative process behind developing a fashion product. The session covered various stages of fashion design, from building visual concepts through moodboards and mind mapping to exploring color combinations, fabric selection, fashion illustration, and product presentation. Participants also gained insights into color and fashion trends 2027.
Beyond providing a space for creative learning, the collaboration reflects Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites' commitment to its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives through The Art of Goodness. By supporting educational activities related to sustainable fashion, the hotel aims to encourage greater awareness of responsible creativity while providing opportunities for local designers and participating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop their knowledge and skills.

This occasion also marked the second time Didiet Maulana selected Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites as the venue for JGBB, reflecting the continued collaboration between the hotel and the creative community. With its spacious ballroom and supporting event facilities, the hotel provided a comfortable setting for participants to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and explore different aspects of fashion design.
“We are pleased to welcome Didiet Maulana and JGBB Fashion back to Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites. It is encouraging to see so many participants come together to learn and develop their creativity. Through our ESG initiative, The Art of Goodness, we hope to continue supporting activities that bring value to local creative communities, including designers and MSMEs, while encouraging more thoughtful approaches to fashion,” said Faisal Tranggono, General Manager of Mangkuluhur ARTOTEL Suites.
