Magnifique Group Brings Discussions on the Future of Media and

Trust in AI to IdeaFest 2026 Through Two Special Sessions

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly transforming the way people work, seek information, communicate, and create. Amid these changes, Magnifique Group — a 360° creative and visual communication agency specializing in PR, creative, digital, and brand activation — is encouraging conversations around one important question: as technology becomes increasingly capable of taking over various processes, what keeps humans relevant?

Marking its sixth year as the PR agency partner of IdeaFest, Magnifique Group presented two IdeaTalks sessions at IdeaFest 2026, held from September 4–6, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan. The two sessions explored the development of AI from two complementary perspectives: “ReHumanizing Journalism: What Makes Media Matter in the Age of AI?” and “In AI We Trust? Rethinking Strategy, Connection, and Creativity in the Age of AI.”

When AI Changes the Way We Understand Information

The session “ReHumanizing Journalism: What Makes Media Matter in the Age of AI?” explored the changing media ecosystem as AI becomes increasingly capable of generating, summarizing, and distributing information at speed.

As people can now seek answers through AI without necessarily visiting media websites, professional media organizations are facing new questions about their relevance and role. Through this session, Jaka Darwis, Associate Director of Magnifique Group, brought together four media leaders to discuss how media can remain relevant amid these changes. The panel featured Antonius Tomy Trinugroho, Deputy Managing Editor of Kompas Daily/Kompas.id; Mahardi Eka Putra, Editor in Chief of KapanLagi.com; Sena Achari, Director of Product at Detikcom; and Uni Lubis, Editor in Chief of IDN Times.

The discussion explored how media can leverage AI without losing the foundations of journalism, from human judgment, empathy, and ethics to storytelling and credibility. One of the key questions raised during the session was: “If AI can already write breaking news within seconds, summarize lengthy reports, and even answer questions without opening a media website, why does society still need professional media?”

For Magnifique Group, these developments demonstrate that the role of media is no longer simply about being the first to deliver information. It is also about helping the public understand context, determine what is relevant, and build trust in the information they consume. This perspective is becoming increasingly relevant to the communications industry as a whole, as technology enables messages to be produced faster and more easily.

AI as a Partner in the Creative Process

Today, AI is no longer used merely as a tool. The technology is increasingly taking on the role of an information source, recommendation engine, and even a thinking partner that influences how people work, create, and make decisions.

Through the second session, moderated by Ayu Kartika, PR Lead at Magnifique Group, Magnifique brought together Edward Halim, Content Creator; Shahnaz Soehartono, Writer and Creator of Onlights; and Nia Dinata, Director and Screenwriter of Berbagi Suami 2.0, for a session titled “In AI We Trust? Rethinking Strategy, Connection, and Creativity in the Age of AI.”

The discussion explored how the presence of AI is beginning to transform the way people create, build credibility, and connect with audiences. Yet, amid technology’s growing ability to produce various forms of output, the session also raised a fundamental question: “Is AI becoming the ‘new authority’ in our lives?”

Magnifique invited audiences to consider that humans still play an essential role in determining how creative work is received and how it can remain relevant to wider society. Treating AI as a thinking partner does not mean surrendering all judgment to technology. Rather, it means understanding when AI can be trusted and when people need to rely on their own perspectives and judgment.

Bringing the Human Perspective to the Future of Communication

Through these two sessions, Magnifique Group recognizes that AI will continue to evolve and become integrated into various work processes, including across the media, communications, and creative industries. However, this development makes human abilities to think critically, understand context, determine direction, build credibility, and create authentic connections increasingly important.

The two sessions also reflect Magnifique’s approach to industry transformation: not simply following technological developments, but questioning how technology can be used meaningfully to build more relevant and human-centered communication.

As a 360° creative and visual communication agency, Magnifique Group continues to create spaces that bring together diverse perspectives from the communications and creative industries. Through its participation in IdeaFest 2026, Magnifique brought discussions ranging from the media landscape to the creative process to address one shared question: in a world increasingly driven by technology, how can we ensure that humans remain at the center of every idea, decision, and connection?
