M Bloc Space has officially unveiled its refreshed identity through the Grand Launching of the New Face of M Bloc Space

After six years of pioneering placemaking and creative urban development in Indonesia, M Bloc Space has officially unveiled its refreshed identity through the Grand Launching of the New Face of M Bloc Space, held at M Bloc Live House, Blok M, South Jakarta.

M Bloc Space Unveils a New Look and Renewed Spirit

Reviving its original 2019 opening theme, “Semua Kembali ke Blok M” (“Everyone Returns to Blok M”), the celebration reaffirms M Bloc’s enduring commitment to revitalizing Blok M as a vibrant center of creativity, culture, and youth-driven energy—especially among Generation Z.

A Physical Transformation and a Fresh New Look

Beginning in early 2025, M Bloc Space underwent a major renovation and beautification project—marking a new chapter in its evolution as one of Jakarta’s most dynamic creative destinations. The transformation includes:

  • A complete redesign of the main lobby, now more spacious, modern, functional, and accessible to all, including visitors with disabilities.

  • The addition of a new prayer room (mushola) and public restrooms in the back area.

  • Roof renovations across shophouses and existing tenants, giving the complex a refreshed, cohesive visual identity.

  • Upgrades to the roofs, floors, and structures of M Bloc Live House and the newly branded Creative Hall (Melting Pop), improving acoustics, lighting, and comfort for concerts and community events.

  • The installation of pedestrian canopies on the north and south sides, extending to the rear walkway (wandelgang), creating a shaded, safe, and inclusive public space experience.

“M Bloc Space was born from the grand vision of the late Glenn Fredly and his co-founders, who sought to create a collaborative space for music, local brands, and creative communities. With strong support from PERURI, this area has become a living example of how creativity can drive both economic and social vitality within a city,” said Ahmad Romero Comacho, CEO of M Bloc Space.

“In my role, our focus isn’t to change direction but to continue and strengthen the movement—ensuring its sustainability so that its positive impact can be felt by more people and passed down to future generations. Continuing the Movement, Not Changing the Direction.”

Introducing Melting Pop — A Reimagined Creative Hall

Among the highlights of the new M Bloc Space is the rebranding of its Creative Hall, a collaborative project between M Bloc Space and Infipop, a youth-driven digital media and creative ecosystem.

Now reintroduced as Melting Pop, the space is envisioned as a dynamic venue for communities and brands to connect and create—hosting diverse events from exhibitions and talks to visual arts, film screenings, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

More than just a venue, Melting Pop symbolizes inclusivity and creative synergy—a place where diverse expressions of urban culture and artistic ideas converge into a single, energetic movement.

“Melting Pop reflects one of Infipop’s key missions—to provide a space for all forms of popular culture expression, from music, design, and fashion to film, fostering collaboration and cultural exchange,” said Irfan ‘Fanbul’ Prabowo, CEO of Infipop. “We aim to create a living, relevant space that captures the spirit and creativity of today’s generation.”

With its refreshed look, enhanced facilities, and renewed creative energy, the New M Bloc Space continues to champion the essence of collaboration, sustainability, and cultural innovation—cementing its role as Indonesia’s leading hub for creative communities and contemporary urban culture.
