PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is trialing an earlier 5:30 AM departure for LRT Jabodebek along the Dukuh Atas BSI – Jatimulya line.

Early risers and frequent Bandung commuters, rejoice: catching the first high-speed bullet train of the day just got a whole lot smoother.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has officially launched an early-morning trial service for LRT Jabodebek starting Thursday, October 1, 2026. Under this trial run, the first train departs from Dukuh Atas BSI Station toward Jatimulya at 05:30 WIB—a welcome schedule shift for travelers heading toward Halim Station.

Seamless Transit to Catch the 06:25 WIB Whoosh

The early service is explicitly engineered to solve a common commuting bottleneck: reaching Halim Station in time for the earliest Whoosh High-Speed Rail departures without contending with peak morning road traffic.

With an estimated arrival at Halim Station at 05:54 WIB, the new route gives passengers a generous 31-minute window to navigate the intermodal concourse, pass through ticket gates, and comfortably board the 06:25 WIB Whoosh train to Bandung. Following this early trial departure, regular LRT services resume their standard schedule starting at 06:05 WIB.

Highlighting the strategy behind the extended operational schedule, Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for LRT Jabodebek, emphasized the vital role of synchronized transit systems:

"Commuters rarely rely on just a single mode of transport from origin to destination. That is why intermodal connectivity is essential—giving the public seamless, interconnected journey choices. Through this trial run, LRT Jabodebek aims to gauge how an earlier schedule aligns with the mobility needs of passengers connecting to the Whoosh High-Speed Rail."

— Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations, LRT Jabodebek

Travel Tips for Early-Bird Commuters

  • Factor in the Platform Transfer: While Halim Station features a direct skybridge connecting LRT Jabodebek and Whoosh, walking between platforms and clearing security checks typically takes 5–10 minutes.

  • Pre-book Your Whoosh Tickets: Avoid queueing at ticket vending machines by securing your Whoosh seats via the Whoosh app or official booking channels beforehand.

  • Mind the Trial Schedule: The early departure runs across two operational windows: October 1–3 and October 5–10, 2026. Plan your journey accordingly!
