The #LBandtheCity Bar Takeover is a tangible example of Love, Bonito’s rebranding efforts in Indonesia

To promote its new tagline, "Ready-to-live," the leading Southeast Asian women's fashion brand Love, Bonito is hosting the #LBandtheCity Bar Takeover in collaboration with Club Soda. This event also marks Love, Bonito’s 14th anniversary celebration, featuring the theme "Any-verse of Women," which honors the diverse roles of Asian women.

From August 1-18, visitors can experience Love, Bonito's refreshed identity through visual displays and special menu collaborations.

“Through the #LBandtheCity Bar Takeover with Club Soda, Love, Bonito aims to create a memorable and unique experience for visitors. By continually innovating, we seek to translate our rebranding efforts into tangible expressions, whether through special menu collaborations, thematic visualizations, or engaging installations,” said Suzanne Sarah, Regional Director for Indonesia & Malaysia at Love, Bonito.

Love, Bonito Hosts Bar Takeover as Part of Rebranding Efforts

This bar takeover concept allows Love, Bonito to introduce its latest identity, launched in March, to a wider audience. This initiative reflects Love, Bonito’s commitment to empowering Asian women and engaging with various aspects of their lives. In line with the tagline “Ready-to-live not only Ready-to-wear,” Love, Bonito provides functional clothing suitable for daily activities, from formal events to brunches and girls’ nights out at Club Soda.

The new rebranding elements, featuring heart-red and brown hues, are thematically displayed throughout Club Soda's eclectic interior. Visitors will encounter various decorations representing Love, Bonito’s new identity, including heart-shaped monograms with the "LB" initials in the brand’s signature colors. Additionally, a giant Instagrammable cocktail replica from the collaborative menu, the Sunkissed Serenade, is available. This cocktail, made with East Indies Pomelo gin, tamarillo, and lime, offers a refreshing taste reminiscent of summer.

Part of the Locavore Group, Club Soda Jakarta serves non-traditional cocktails crafted with unique local ingredients. Beyond offering delicious food and a captivating atmosphere, Club Soda provides a creative experience with unique tropical flavors presented in iconic art installations and ambient music.

“The spirit and vision of Love, Bonito align perfectly with Club Soda’s sophisticated and confident concept. We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to Love, Bonito’s customers enjoying our specially crafted cocktails,” said Jaklyn Raharjo, Marketing & Brand Manager at Club Soda Jakarta.

The vibrant and innovative concept of Club Soda complements Love, Bonito’s vision of empowering modern Asian women, who juggle multiple roles while challenging stereotypes often associated with Asian women.

Love, Bonito Celebrates Its 14th Anniversary

In addition to the bar takeover, Love, Bonito is celebrating its 14th anniversary this August with the "Any-verse of Women" theme. This theme is designed to honor the #LBCommunity women who have inspired Love, Bonito’s growth over the years.

“#LBCommunity refers to all Love, Bonito customers whom we strive to empower in every moment of their lives. Beyond providing functional clothing, Love, Bonito aims to build a community through shared experiences, knowledge, and other creative initiatives,” explained Suzanne.

On August 7, 2024, Love, Bonito will host a mini talk show at Club Soda, moderated by Suzanne Sarah. The talk show will feature two inspirational Asian women from the #LBCommunity, Alika Islamadina and Nicole Jizhar, who are closely connected with Love, Bonito. These women exemplify the #LBCommunity by balancing various roles while managing their lives effectively.

This aligns with Love, Bonito’s commitment to fostering a strong and supportive community of women, empowering and inspiring every Asian woman through diverse representation.

During the talk show, the speakers will share their insights on what "Ready-to-live" means in different stages of their lives. Alika Islamadina, a singer, content creator, and mother, will discuss her career journey, the inspiration behind her eclectic yet effortless fashion style, and her experiences representing various local and international fashion brands.

Meanwhile, Nicole Jizhar, Executive Vice President of MODENA, Co-Founder of Nona Woman, and President of Penn Wharton Club Indonesia, will talk about how she maintains a ready-to-live appearance amid her busy schedule as a businesswoman. Nicole will also discuss her interest in women’s empowerment, her mission to raise awareness about reproductive health, and the origins of Nona Woman.

“The #LBandtheCity Bar Takeover is just the beginning of Love, Bonito’s ongoing journey to provide functional clothing that is not only ready-to-wear but also ready-to-live, while continuing to empower and represent all Asian women,” concluded Suzanne.
