Jakarta’s urban pulse is set to quicken with the unveiling of a brand-new MRT route stretching from Fatmawati to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). Traversing 10 thoughtfully planned stations, this line represents the fourth phase of MRT Jakarta’s ambitious expansion, redefining connectivity across the city’s southern and eastern districts.

Beyond mere transit, the Fatmawati-TMII corridor has been crafted for seamless integration with other transport arteries, including the Jabodebek LRT, creating a network where mobility feels effortless and intuitive.

At the ceremonial renaming of Lebak Bulus Station to “Lebak Bulus Bank Syariah Indonesia”, Tuhiyat, President Director of PT MRT Jakarta, shared insight into the phased development.

“Construction will commence once Phase Three, the east-west line from Medan Satria to Tomang, is complete. We are aiming to break ground on this next chapter next year,” he noted.

The 10 stations

The Fatmawati-TMII line will stop at ten strategically positioned stations:

1. Fatmawati
2. Antasari
3. Ampera
4. Warung Jati
5. Tanjung Barat
6. Ranco
7. Jalan Raya Bogor
8. Tanah Merdeka
9. Kampung Rambutan
10. TMII

By 2026, Jakarta envisions breaking ground on a 24.5-kilometre east–west corridor extending from Medan Satria in Bekasi to Tomang, further knitting together the city’s sprawling metropolitan fabric.

This new route is designed to effortlessly intersect with Phase One of the MRT (Lebak Bulus–Bundaran HI), Jabodebek LRT, KRL Commuterline, and Transjakarta services, elevating intermodal transfers to a level of urban sophistication.

With 10 stations bridging Jakarta’s southern and eastern districts, the project promises not only improved accessibility but also a tangible enhancement in the city’s intermodal ecosystem. MRT Jakarta emphasises that public engagement and collaboration remain pivotal to ensure planning, land acquisition, and construction proceed seamlessly.
