Valrhona chocolate afternoon tea is set to launch at The Langham, Jakarta

A special duet of premium chocolate treats to delight the Afternoon Tea enthusiasts in Jakarta 

The Langham, Jakarta introduces a captivating sweet indulgence by collaborating with French chocolatier Valrhona, for the launch of exquisite new Afternoon Tea. The first in  Jakarta, the Valrhona Afternoon Tea features the finest selection of chocolate that is incorporated into delicacies  that reflect the savoir-faire and culinary finesse of the Hotel’s talented chefs. The special afternoon tea will be  served exclusively in the hotel’s signature tea lounge, ALICE, from 1 June – 31 August 2024.

The fusion of Valrhona’s fine products into ALICE signature Afternoon Tea represents a celebration of  innovation. Heritage recipes by Valrhona have been fused into a delightful selection of menus designed to  enchant the guests. The menu offers a delightful array of sweet and savory selections, such as Foie Gras Cone,  Paris Burger, Forest that combines umami characteristic with aromatic chocolate oil.  

For those with a sweet tooth, the Orange Choux with Caraibe dark chocolate whipped ganache provides a velvety texture that complements the pastry, creating a sumptuous experience. The Raspberry Inspiration with  pain de gene and whipped Opalys sure to tantalize the palate with a passionate, fruity combination, while the  Itakuja 55% Sable refreshes the palate with a hint of acidity of mandarin passion fruit compote. Guests are  invited to indulge in this exquisite experience at the price of IDR 328.000 per set per person. 

One of the newly launched signature treats in ALICE is the Croissant experience. It is presented tableside and  comes with a selection of five chocolate sauces to choose from – Opalys Coconut White Chocolate, Caramel  Passion Fruit Milk Chocolate, Irish Coffee Chocolate, Alice Signature Raspberry Chocolate, and Dulcey  Kalamansi. Guests can also select a choice of condiments including a variety of nuts, fruits, chocolates or  marshmallow to accompany the treat. The exquisite Croissant is priced at IDR 108,000++ per portion.

To complete the exquisite gastronomic journey, specialty drinks are designed to delight discerning guests visiting ALICE. The Langham Jakarta Hot Chocolate, made with Valrhona Guanaja 70% will warm the hearts  and minds as marshmallow slowly melts inside. Additionally, guests can also opt for a selection of three of  delicious chocolate mocktails to complement their experience.
