The iftar event took place at the Lagoon Garden Hall, starting with introducing hotel facilities in hotel tour to orphans. When they arrived, the children were invited to see the Golden Ballroom which is an iconic place where the presidential debates were held there. This was done so that the children would have the experience of seeing a large ballroom against its historical background.
After that they took part in the "Uncle Gery's Tales" (Dongeng Paman Gery) session before breaking their fast. "Uncle Gery's Tales" (Dongeng Paman Gery) is a variety of fairy tales for everyone, from fables, sci-fi and everyday themes. During the breaking of the fast, there will be recitations of the Al-Qur'an from the Al Furqon & Aisyiyah Foundation and Islamic chants from Bantu Musik.
Not only is the show the highlight, but the Executive Chef of The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta, Eric Kusnadi, has served a line of traditional food with a distinctive 'home' taste that is comfortable and familiar to all the guests' tongues.
