Sango Hotel Management hosted an unforgettable Media Gathering titled “Taste of Asia” to showcase its exceptional hotel properties and further solidify its strong ties with media partners. The event, held at Man Aur Tan - Authentic Indian Cuisine Restaurant on the 36th floor of Manhattan Hotel Jakarta, offered a vibrant fusion of flavors, culture, and collaboration.
Overseeing a portfolio of premier hotels, Sango Hotel Management operates three five-star hotels in Jakarta—Manhattan Hotel Jakarta, Merlyn Park Hotel Jakarta, and Sunlake Waterfront Resort & Convention—as well as the Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang, a four-star hotel in Semarang. Expanding its presence in the hospitality sector, the company also owns several food & beverage outlets in Semarang, including Silverspoon Restaurant & Bar, Obsidian Specialty Coffee & Eatery, and a variety of specialty dining establishments in Jakarta, such as Grand City Chinese Restaurant at both Sunlake Waterfront Resort & Convention and Merlyn Park Hotel Jakarta, and Man Aur Tan at Manhattan Hotel Jakarta.
The evening kicked off with a heartfelt welcome from Asteria T. Hesty, Managing Director of Sango Hotel Management, who shared the company’s rich history and expressed her sincere gratitude to the media partners who have been instrumental in its journey. She highlighted Sango Hotel Management’s shared vision across all its properties: “The Soul of Indonesia”—a commitment to warm, genuine hospitality that offers guests "Exclusive Access to Unique Experiences."
Guests were treated to a delightful showcase of signature dishes, each representing the culinary diversity and excellence of the hotels. The flavors of Asia were on full display, with Manhattan Hotel Jakarta serving up mutton biryani, butter chicken, cheese naan, chicken lollipop, mango lassi, and pistachio kulfi. From Merlyn Park Hotel Jakarta, the guests indulged in salted egg shrimp, duck fried rice, pare egg, and a selection of Indonesian pepes dishes. Sunlake Waterfront Resort & Convention delighted the crowd with dim sum and 8-combination soup, while Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang offered up delicious spring rolls, tofu meatballs, jalapeno cheese balls, and mini burgers. Every dish was a reflection of each hotel’s unique culinary identity, creating a rich and memorable gastronomic journey.
The event was further enlivened by Bollywood dance performances and live music, adding a festive and cultural touch to the evening. In keeping with the “Taste of Asia” theme, the Sango Hotel Management team and representatives from each hotel wore traditional attire from across Asia—India, China, Japan, and Indonesia—creating a colorful and immersive experience for all attendees.
This vibrant gathering was not only a celebration of Sango Hotel Management’s diverse offerings but also a chance to further strengthen relationships with the media and showcase the company’s “Indonesian Hospitality Experience.” Focused on delivering exceptional service with a deep respect for Indonesian culture, Sango Hotel Management aims to continually grow as a leading hospitality brand—providing unforgettable experiences for guests, nurturing a positive and supportive environment for employees, and making meaningful contributions to the communities it serves, all while staying true to its vision and mission.
