Marking its First Anniversary, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta Begins “A New Chapter”
New Culinary Experiences, Refreshed Dining Direction, and the Evolving Vision of Íñigo Urrechu
After one year of introducing authentic Basque fire cooking to Jakarta’s dining scene, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta enters a new chapter, reaffirming its international culinary roots while evolving into a more approachable yet equally refined Spanish dining destination.
Located at Gran Meliá Jakarta, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta celebrates its first anniversary through the evolving culinary vision of the renowned Spanish chef Íñigo Urrechu. This new chapter marking the restaurant’s continued evolution as one of Jakarta’s distinctive lifestyle dining destinations alongside the introduction of refreshed culinary experiences, new menu creations, enhanced wine experiences, and a strengthened restaurant leadership team.

As the first ERRE & Urrechu concept in Asia, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta continues the legacy of Chef Íñigo Urrechu’s acclaimed restaurant group following the success of ERRE & Urrechu in Barcelona and ERRE & Urrechu in Marbella, Spain. Since its opening in Jakarta, the restaurant has established itself as one of the city’s distinguished Spanish dining destinations, known for its authentic Basque fire-cooking philosophy, elevated hospitality, and warm convivial dining atmosphere.
Marking this new chapter, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta introduces a refreshed menu that continues to celebrate the essence of Spanish and Basque gastronomy while offering more approachable selections crafted for broader dining occasions.
The new culinary direction highlights fire-driven techniques, premium ingredients, and refined flavours through dishes such as the Flame-Grilled Basque Pintxo served with warm tomato pilpil sauce, Buttered Brioche filled with sweet crab stew and citrus-kimchi mayonnaise, Traditional Catalonian seafood and fish soup, Grilled Barramundi Fillet with creamy gnocchi, and of course ERRE’s Signature Wagyu MB5 “Chuletón Español” served with smoked and roasted seasonal vegetables. The experience concludes with the restaurant’s signature Basque-style cheesecake, further reflecting ERRE’s balance between authenticity, craftsmanship, and contemporary dining experiences.

The refreshed dining experience is further elevated through the arrival of Alfiansyah as Sommelier of ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta. Recognized as Indonesia’s Best Sommelier 2021, Alfiansyah brings extensive expertise in wine curation, pairing, and storytelling, enhancing the restaurant’s wine program through thoughtfully selected pairings and immersive guest experiences.
Strengthening the restaurant’s operational and guest experience excellence, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta also welcomes Aditya Prasapta as Restaurant Manager. Bringing more than two decades of experience across luxury hospitality, restaurants, and lifestyle brands, Aditya leads the restaurant’s continued focus on elevated service, memorable dining experiences, and strengthening ERRE’s positioning within Jakarta’s premium culinary landscape.
“After one year in Jakarta, we wanted this new chapter to reflect not only the authenticity of our Basque culinary roots, but also the evolving way people dine and connect through food,” said Chef Íñigo Urrechu. “We are introducing new flavours, new experiences, and a more approachable way for guests to enjoy the spirit of ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta while maintaining the craftsmanship and philosophy that define our cuisine.”
