Ascott Jakarta Announces the Winner of Its Uniform Project

In an inspiring collaboration, Ascott Jakarta has partnered with the prestigious Sparks Fashion Academy to provide students with an exciting opportunity to showcase their creativity in developing the brand’s upcoming uniform collection. Sparks Fashion Academy, based in Jakarta, is more than just a fashion school—it offers specialized programs in Fashion Business, allowing students to explore various aspects of the industry beyond design.

Through this partnership, students were challenged to push their creative boundaries, culminating in a design competition where the top three finalists—Mutiara Egi, Marsha Fadhilah, and Nazhua Afifa—presented their concepts to a distinguished panel of judges. The panel included Patrick Legrand, Director of Operations of The Ascott Limited Indonesia; Christian Lo, Residence Manager of Ascott Jakarta; and Elissa C. Haryanto, Head of Academics at Sparks Fashion Academy. These industry experts evaluated the designs and provided valuable feedback.

“We are beyond excited about this collaboration and deeply appreciate Ascott Jakarta’s initiative to support young, talented designers,” said Elissa from Sparks Fashion Academy. The winning design, created by Marsha Fadhilah, stood out for its simplicity and uniqueness, incorporating Indonesia’s traditional Kain Tenun. When asked about the sustainability aspect of her design, Marsha expressed her desire to raise awareness about Indonesia’s rich heritage, emphasizing her pride in being Indonesian.

It’s an incredible learning experience for everyone involved.” Patrick Legrand echoed this sentiment, saying, “The level of talent exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly proud of these students. We hope this initiative will have a lasting impact on their careers.”

This project is part of the Ascott CARES program, which is committed to supporting emerging talent and fostering creativity within the local business and community.
