Hotel Tentrem Jakarta Hosts “Be A Hotelier for A Day”
to Celebrate Associates and Inspire the Next Generation
In celebration of its first anniversary, Hotel Tentrem Jakarta hosted a special appreciation event titled “Be A Hotelier for A Day,” dedicated to the children of its valued associates. This heartwarming initiative invited nine Junior Hotelier Associates, children aged 9 to 14, to experience a day in the life of a hotelier. Guided by dedicated mentors, they were grouped into key departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Culinary, and Engineering, where they gained first-hand insight into the hotel’s daily operations through fun and interactive learning sessions.
The day began with breakfast at the associate canteen, followed by a morning briefing and team introductions, just like a real hotelier’s shift. From there, the Junior Associates shadowed their mentors across the hotel before concluding their journey with a graduation lunch at Kayu Manis, the hotel’s signature modern Indonesian restaurant. As a gesture of recognition, children who achieved excellent academic results during the school holiday received special rewards, including complimentary room stays and hotel vouchers.
