ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan and Imelda Adams Present Solo Exhibition “Gacon”

ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan proudly unveiled its third art exhibition of the year, featuring “Gacon”, the debut solo exhibition of artist Imelda Adams. The exhibition is held at ARTSPACE, Lobby Level, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan, starting August 20, 2025, and will run until November 20, 2025.

The title “Gacon” draws inspiration from Imelda’s childhood, a word that once symbolized something reliable in games. Since her early years, Imelda has been fascinated with painting human figures—characters that her family and friends eventually came to recognize as her signature “Gacon.” Over time, these figures evolved into a strong visual identity, embodying her thoughts, emotions, memories, and everyday encounters.

In this exhibition, Imelda elevates Gacon into a symbol of the search for meaning, identity, and self-awareness. Inspired by the saying “life in this world is but play and amusement,” her eleven showcased works reflect a personal journey of reflection and awareness within the vast arena of life.

The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge until November 20, 2025, at ARTOTEL ARTSPACE – Lobby Level.
