Bars Take Over Artesian at The Langham, Jakarta

Artesian presents Bar Takeover Volume 18: The Sipper’s Mixers, the latest in its distinguished Bar Takeover series. Taking place on Friday, 10 October and Saturday, 11 October 2025, this exclusive two-night event will see the bar welcome celebrated talents from Washington D.C. and Singapore, offering Jakarta’s cocktail enthusiasts a rare chance to experience the artistry of worldclass mixology.
 

Renowned as one of the most iconic bars in the world, Artesian has long been synonymous with innovation, elegance, and a vibrant social energy. With its Bar Takeover series, the bar continues to serve as a stage for leading bartenders from across the globe, sharing their philosophies, stories, and creations with an international audience in Jakarta.

For this edition, Artesian is honoured to host Deke Dunne, Beverage & Creative Director of Allegory in Washington D.C.—a bar recently recognised as part of the Best Bar Team at Tales of the Cocktail 2025 and ranked among North America’s 50 Best Bars (#45). He is joined on the opening night by Jerrold Kho, Creative Director & Founder of Stay Gold Flamingo, one of Singapore’s most dynamic cocktail destinations and a name celebrated in Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Together, they bring a synergy of technique, creativity, and culture that promises an unforgettable evening.

On Friday, 10 October 2025, guests will enjoy a collaborative showcase featuring Allegory’s imaginative cocktails, such as They Can’t Kill Us All (Bacardi rum, banana, yuzu, clarified milk kefir, ube) and Unicorn (Bacardi rum, pandan, coconut, demerara, eucalyptus), alongside Stay Gold Flamingo’s vibrant creations including El Diablo (Patrón Tequila Silver, crème de cassis, ginger, lemon, ginger beer) and Thai Basil Smash (Bombay Sapphire gin, yuzu, orange, Thai basil, Midori, white wine).

The following evening, Saturday, 11 October 2025, Artesian turns the spotlight fully to Allegory, with Dunne presenting a curated menu of signature serves such as Dream Team (Grey Goose vodka, Mediterranean grapefruit), Mardi Grass (rum, mango, coconut), and Saturday Morning Cartoons (rum, bourbon, cornflakes, elote, saffron). Each cocktail reflects Allegory’s reputation for storytelling and playful yet profound compositions in the glass.

All cocktails will be available at IDR 185,000++ per glass or as a Cocktail Flight at IDR 600,000++. This special edition of the Bar Takeover series is proudly supported by Bacardi, Patrón Tequila, Perrier, and Grey Goose, reinforcing Artesian’s dedication to curating only the finest collaborations in premium spirits.

To elevate the atmosphere, The Sipper’s Mixers will also feature dynamic music sets from renowned DJs. On Friday, 10 October, DJ Andezzz will set the tone with his signature beats, blending soulful grooves and contemporary rhythms. On Saturday, 11 October, the energy continues with DJ Onix, bringing his eclectic soundscapes to keep the momentum flowing late into the night.
