Gajah Gallery is delighted to announce its participation at Art Jakarta, Indonesia’s flagship art fair, taking place on 3–5 October 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran. This year marks the Gallery’s most ambitious presentation to date, occupying its largest booth ever at Booth B3, showcasing an expansive roster of both celebrated and emerging artists from across Southeast Asia and beyond.
At the centre of the presentation, Gajah Gallery will present Yunizar’s new sculpture, Pohon Buah (Fruit Tree), a paradisiacal tree from which a multitude of tropical fruits bloom, each edition uniquely arranged. This marks the sculpture’s Indonesian debut, highlighting Yunizar’s playful yet profound exploration of the fantastical within the mundane.
The Gallery is also proud to present a special MUMOTOMO feature, honouring the lives and legacies of four artists whose practices and personal journeys were deeply interconnected: I Gusti Ayu Kadek Murniasih (Murni), Dewa Putu Mokoh, Edmondo Zanolini, and OoTotol (Dewa Raram). The collective journey of these artists, who worked within the confines of their commune, unknowingly created an artistic legacy that would endure beyond their lifetimes.
Alongside this feature, the booth will introduce a wide range of new artworks. Jemana Murti, Ridho Rizki, and Tantin Udiantara will present fresh bodies of work that mark striking shifts in style, as well as Rosit Mulyadi, in parallel with his ongoing solo exhibition. Alongside Erizal As’s new monumental paintings, Ibrahim, Fadilah Karim, Fika Ria Santika, Kayleigh Goh, Satya Cipta, and Mahalakshmi Kannappan will also reveal new pieces created for the fair. This year also features exciting debuts, introducing Loi Cai Xiang from Singapore, the late Balinese maestro Made Wianta, and acclaimed Filipino artist Mark Justiniani, with the Indonesian debut of his bronze sculpture, Stride.
This presentation features a curated selection of established masters, mid-career, and emerging artists, reflecting Gajah Gallery’s commitment to amplifying Southeast Asian voices within the global art landscape. With its strongest presentation to date, Gajah Gallery continues to champion artistic diversity, experimentation, and cross-cultural dialogue, reaffirming its role as a bridge between Southeast Asia and the global art stage.
