Hilton announced the appointment of Sebastian Goldmann as regional general manager for its Indonesia and Timor Leste operations. A hospitality veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, Sebastian will also lead the award-winning DoubleTree by Hilton JakartaDiponegoro as its general manager.
In his dual role, Sebastian will drive the performance of Hilton’s portfolio of full and focused service hotels in Indonesia and Timor Leste, as well as oversee the commercial and operational performances for the Doubletree by Hilton Jakarta Diponegoro. His immediate priorities will include leading the strategic growth of the DoubleTree by Hilton properties within the capital city of Indonesia, as well as introducing Hilton’s flagship brand into Timor Leste through the opening of Hilton Dili Palm Springs.
Educated in Germany, Sebastian started his hospitality career in the food and beverage department and steadily ascended through various leadership roles across China, Egypt, Germany, and Indonesia, before achieving his first General Manager position in 2013. He also holds strong familiarity of the Indonesia market, having previously worked in the country for close to eight years. Prior to taking on his current portfolio, Sebastian was General Manager of Hilton Dresdon, Germany, where he led the property’s repositioning efforts as well as a team of over 200 team members.

Born and raised in Germany, Sebastian is recognised for his strong commercial acumen, leadership skills and passion for people development. Outside of the office, he enjoys sports such as tennis and golf, as well as traveling, cooking and collecting cookbooks.
