The Bogotá-born chef will be showcasing her cuisine influenced by Caribbean flavors and style, such as Caribbean Beach Shrimp Cocktail, Duck Pebre Carimañolas, Chuzo de Pollo, and desserts like Enyucado, all available on the buffet spread of Seasonal Tastes.
Marcela Arango, who spent her childhood in the Caribbean, has been one of the creators of El Ciervo y el Oso, a restaurant in Bogotá renowned for celebrating Colombian cuisine and utilizing local produce. Currently, she and her husband own El Pantera Taquería, where they explore Mexican cuisine with locally sourced ingredients.
Over the past nine years, she has been involved in food styling, food makeup for advertising, and food photography, notably for the winner of the Best Cookbook of the Year 2021 at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, "Wrapped in Plantain, Cassava, and Corn in Traditional Colombian Kitchens."
In the past year, she has also contributed to training and recipe creation consultancy for the Tourist Routes through the Forests and Peace, collaborating with communities on biodiversity in cooking, alongside the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens and the UK Pact in Colombian territory.
