Honouring Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s Historic Journey

Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta proudly celebrates its 62nd anniversary, reflecting on a legacy that began with its establishment as Indonesia’s first five-star hotel. Officially opened by President Soekarno on 5 August 1962, the hotel was designed to be a beacon of national pride and modern elegance. President Soekarno, in collaboration with architect Abel Sorensen, brought this vision to life in just two years, creating a landmark that would greet guests from around the globe during the 4th Asian Games.

A Grand Celebration of Culture and Collaboration

The anniversary event, themed "Icon of Indonesian Pride," showcases a variety of cultural experiences and collaborations that celebrate Indonesia's rich heritage and contemporary sophistication.
