To celebrate National Batik Day, Pullman Jakarta Central Park will host a series of events designed to honor and showcase one of Indonesia’s most iconic cultural heritages: batik. Align with Accor Hotels Group’s overarching theme KarnavALL Batik Indonesia, Pullman Jakarta Central Park collaborates with Oemah Etnik, a batik and woven fashion brand crafted by local artisans, Pullman Jakarta Central Park hopes to invite guests and the public to come and enjoy a variety of exciting activities in an unforgettable National Batik Day celebration.

Batik Trunk Show Installment

On October 2nd, 2024, the celebration will kick off with a Batik Workshop, where participants will have the opportunity to learn the art of batik-making from skilled artisans. This workshop offers a hands-on experience in creating traditional batik patterns using natural dyes and traditional techniques.

As a highlight of the celebration, Oemah Etnik will host a Trunk Show titled “Siklus 2.0” on October 4, 2024. In this collection, OE and Wilsen Willim present traditional Indonesian batik combined with modern techniques and the color red, symbolizing bravery. Wilsen Willim's pinwheel patterns, which represent the cycle of life, are elegantly woven into each piece of fabric. Wilsen Willim and OE hope that this collection will become a favorite among the current generation and a source of national pride.

Batik Trunk Show Siklus 2.0

During the celebration, guests can explore batik installations featuring unique pieces by Oemah Etnik, displayed throughout the hotel lobby from 1 to 14 October 2024. These installations celebrate the cultural importance of batik while promoting its preservation and innovation. For guests staying during this period, Pullman Jakarta Central Park will also be offering special in room amenities curated by Oemah Etnik.
