
Special Labor Day Forum with the Ministry of Manpower
A special forum organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower will bring together government representatives, legal experts, and business professionals to discuss key labor and employment topics in Indonesia. The session will feature panel discussions covering workforce placement, expatriate employment regulations, industrial relations, and employment dispute management.
The forum will open with remarks from Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Minister of Manpower, providing insights into current labor policies and national workforce development priorities. The discussion aims to offer valuable perspectives on regulatory developments, practical challenges, and best practices for companies operating in Indonesia.
Panel sessions will include speakers from the Ministry of Manpower and legal experts, including Isnarti Hasan, Director of Employment Placement Development, and Rendra Setiawan, Director of Foreign Worker Utilization Control. The discussion will be moderated by Ali Chaidar from the Ministry of Manpower together with Stephen Igor Warokka from SSEK Law Firm.
Participants will gain insights into workforce placement strategies, compliance requirements for expatriate employment, and approaches to handling industrial relations and employment disputes in Indonesia’s evolving regulatory landscape.
The session will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia, with interpretation services available.

This forum will feature policy briefings and a moderated discussion with the Ministry of Manpower’s Directorate General of Manpower Placement Development and Employment Opportunity Expansion (Ditjen Binapenta & PKK), focusing on three priority areas: (i) domestic workforce placement policy, (ii) the utilization of foreign workers, and (iii) industrial relations dispute resolution.
The session is designed as a policy socialization and dialogue platform, providing AmCham member companies with clarity on current policy priorities while offering an opportunity to share practical considerations from the perspective of employers operating in Indonesia.
As Indonesia’s labor policy landscape continues to evolve alongside workforce and investment dynamics, the forum will bring together HR leaders, legal and compliance professionals, and business decision-makers—particularly those responsible for recruitment and workforce placement, foreign worker arrangements (RPTKA/Work Permit processes), and industrial relations matters—to exchange insights and engage constructively with the Ministry of Manpower.
