We have extended the ‘Biophilia: Shattering Illusion’ exhibition for two more weeks! This exhibition stands to challenge our environmental awareness and spotlights a diverse array of artists from various artistic backgrounds. They are all united by a shared mission: the preservation of our planet through imaginative and creative pursuits.

Emerged as both a social driven artist by collaborating with economically affected communities, Ari Bayuaji initiated the art project 'Weaving the Ocean' in Sanur, Bali. Bayuaji sourced fishing nets and plastic ropes entwined in the mangrove plants along Sanur Beach, processed them into fine threads and weaved them into delicate artworks. Also working with the locals to source her recycled material, Wishulada Panthanuvong from Thailand has repurposed over 12,000 kilograms of diverse waste materials. This innovative approach not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also generates a significant economic impact of over 6,000,000 Thai Baht to have been redistributed into the local community. Click here to read more about Wishulada’s process and materials used.
