Vertu Harmoni Jakarta Brings Back Rasa Legenda This Ramadan

Building on its previous success, Rasa Legenda returns for its second edition, titled "Warisan Leluhur dalam Perjalanan Rasa" (Ancestral Heritage in a Journey of Taste). This 8-Hands Dinner collaboration brings together four distinguished culinary experts to celebrate Indonesia’s rich gastronomic history. This edition draws profound inspiration from the Baduy tribe of Kanekes Village, honoring their steadfast simplicity, harmony with nature, and their unwavering commitment to preserving ancestral traditions amidst a modern world.

The savory journey is led by Chef Ronald Tokilov and Chef Suyi, who blend Baduy philosophy with regal Indonesian classics. Chef Ronald introduces the Brisket Sekam Wangi, marinated in seven spices to symbolize perfection and the cycles of life, alongside the Gulai Asap Ikan Pelepah, which utilizes traditional smoking methods. Complementing these are Chef Suyi’s legendary offerings, including the durian-infused Ikan Brengkes from Palembang and the noble Kambing Bakar Taliwang. A true centerpiece of the collaboration is the Angeun Kotok, a sacred Baduy chicken soup traditionally served at tribal ceremonies, prepared with charred chicken and aromatic honje (ginger torch).

The journey concludes with a sweet homage to the archipelago by Chef Lutfi Akbar and Putri Habibie. Their dessert selection showcases the intricate artistry of Indonesian sweets, featuring the Middle Eastern-influenced Kue Asida, the chewy cassava-based Jemunak from East Java, and the iconic Kue Barongko from the Bugis people of South Sulawesi. Guests will also experience the delicate beauty of Kue Karawo from Gorontalo—where embroidery patterns are manually applied to cookies—and the traditional sago-based Kue Dange, baked in earthen molds to achieve a perfect textural contrast.

This exclusive culinary collaboration will be available throughout the month of Ramadan at Voyage Restaurant, Vertu Harmoni Jakarta, for IDR 398,000 net.
