Shikaku, the Japanese restaurant known for its refined craftsmanship, introduces Shikaku Afternoon Tea, a thoughtfully curated daytime experience designed to invite guests to slow down and reconnect. Available exclusively by reservation, this Afternoon Tea marks a new way of experiencing Shikaku beyond its celebrated kushi and Japanese cuisine.
The name Shikaku, meaning square in Japanese, symbolizes harmony, stability, balance, and structure—values that form the foundation of the brand. Originally established at the Aoyama Grand Hotel in Tokyo and now operating in Jakarta under the supervision of its Japanese team, Shikaku brings the same quiet elegance into its Afternoon Tea offering.
Rooted in Japanese sensibility, Shikaku Afternoon Tea is designed for unhurried enjoyment. Thoughtfully curated sweet and savory selections are served alongside tea, coffee, or mocktails, allowing flavors, conversation, and atmosphere to unfold effortlessly. More than a dining occasion, it is an invitation to pause creating space for presence, connection, and mindful moments.
Each Afternoon Tea set is crafted for sharing and includes five savory and five sweet selections, carefully balanced in flavor and presentation. Savory highlights include Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, Salmon Futomaki, Small Australian Beef Sando, Chicken Dumpling, and Corn Purée. The sweet selection features Lemon Tiramisu, Osmanthus Panna Cotta with Pear Sauce, Apple & Cinnamon Craquelin, Earl Grey Scone with homemade strawberry cinnamon jam, and Matcha Roll with Anko and Strawberries.
Guests are welcomed with a refreshing Whisper Sparkling Tea, designed to reset the senses after the day’s rush. The tea experience is further elevated with premium blooming tea selections such as Sweet Blossom and Wedding Flower, where handcrafted tea balls bloom gracefully when steeped offering both visual beauty and delicate floral aromas. Optional champagne and natural wine pairings are also available.
Shikaku Afternoon Tea is served daily from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM and is available by reservation only, at least one day in advance. The set is priced at IDR 550,000++ for two persons, inclusive of tea, coffee, or mocktails. Individual options are also available, with additional guests charged accordingly.
Shikaku is located on the 2nd Floor of Bimasena, Jl. Dharmawangsa Raya No.23, Jakarta. The space offers a calm, elegant ambience—an ideal setting for intimate gatherings, meaningful conversations, and elevated daytime hosting. Shikaku Afternoon Tea will be available for booking starting 16 January 2026.
