Grand Hyatt Jakarta presents Ramadan Serumpun – Flavors That Bring Us Together, a four-week rotating Indonesian culinary showcase that celebrates dishes sharing “one root” (serumpun) across regions and traditions. Designed to honor the spirit of unity that defines the holy month, the experience balances authentic, comforting iftar selections with an elevated twist through Chef Yuda Bustara’s Signature Corner.
At the heart of this year’s celebration is Chef Yuda’s thoughtful and contemporary interpretation of Indonesian flavors. Known for his ability to refine beloved dishes without compromising their soul, Chef Yuda brings a perspective deeply rooted in heritage and shaped by respect for tradition. His culinary philosophy centers on elevating familiar Indonesian comfort foods with precision and subtle modernity—creating dishes that feel both warmly nostalgic and refreshingly new.
Despite regional differences, many dishes carry common spice bases, cooking methods, and cultural values, all of which are brought forward in his creations. Among his featured dishes are Iga Bakar Rempah Serumpun, tender grilled short ribs infused with an aromatic spice blend; Ayam Panggang Kecap, a soy-glazed roasted chicken; Bakso Malang; and Jimbaran-Style Lobster Bakar freshly-grilled and rich of spices. For dessert, Bubur Kacang Hijau or Ketan Hitam Ice Cream offer a twist on the classic Ramadan favorite while retaining their familiar warmth.
This exclusive Ramadan special buffet is offered only at Grand Café throughout Ramadan 2026 at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Guests who dine with us may also redeem a one-time spin of the Roda Rezeki Ramadan, offering delightful surprises for their next visit during the Ramadan season.
