Ramadan at Papilion’s Market Place with Local Comforts Curated by Bu Dian & Pak Yudi

Ramadan is a season of familiarity. Of flavors that remind us of home. Of dishes we wait for all year. This year, Papilion’s Market Place presents “Ramadan at the Market”, a thoughtfully curated Indonesian feast guided by two hands behind its kitchen: Bu Dian and Pak Yudi.

Bu Dian has been part of the Papilion family since 2015, becoming the heart behind its Indonesian kitchen across establishments. Pak Yudi’s journey goes even further back to 1989, long before Papilion became what it is today, having witnessed the evolution from Huize van Wely (Indonesian Golden Swirl Award’s Cake Shop of The Year 2025, now located inside Papilion’s Market Place), to The Papilion, Papilion’s Cafe, and The Penthouse. Being in the Papilion family for over a decade, their philosophy remains simple: quality first, and never let guests feel bored.

A Thoughtful Rotation of Indonesian Classics

Available daily from 11 AM, the Ramadan menu runs in two rotations:

20 February – 5 March
Featuring comforting dishes such as Lidah Cabe Hijau, Rendang Basah, Opor Ayam, Ayam Bakar Bumbu Rujak, Ikan Seabass Bumbu Kencur, and Cumi Balado Hijau, alongside traditional vegetables and sides like Sayur Krecek, Sambal Goreng Kentang Ati Ampela, and Kering Tempe Daun Jeruk.

6 – 19 March
Introducing Rawon Daging, Daging Lada Hitam, Ayam Cabe Gendot, Ikan Seabass Pesmol, Sate Ayam & Lontong, Gulai Nangka, and more, ensuring variety while maintaining familiar comfort.

Beginning at 3 PM daily, guests can mix and match their favorites: Aneka Gorengan with Pisang Goreng, Tahu Isi, Bakwan Jagung, Bakwan Sayur, to Aneka Jajanan Pasar with Lemper, Pastel, Risoles, Arem Arem, Bugis Pandan, Dadar Gulung Unti, along with Takjil and Aneka Es selections, including Es Cendol, Kolak Pisang Kolang Kaling, Bubur Ketan Hitam, and more, are also available daily.

More Than Just Iftar

Guests may enjoy the feast dine-in or opt for takeaway packages for home gatherings. Catering options are also available for iftar events throughout the season. With Ramadan décor transforming the Market into a warm communal space, Papilion’s Market Place invites guests to linger, whether for a full iftar spread, afternoon coffee, or simply to bring home a box of comforting classics.

“We serve what we love,” say Bu Dian and Pak Yudi.
“And we love what we serve.”

Ramadan at Papilion’s Market Place starts on February 20th, 2026, at The Papilion, Kemang, Jakarta.
