OSMO Launches “Baby Cocktail”, A Bastardized Omakase Cocktail Experience 

Three bastardized mini cocktail experiences designed for modern drinking culture 

As drinking culture continues shifting toward earlier, more intentional social experiences, Jakarta’s cocktail scene is evolving alongside it. Responding to this growing appetite for lighter, more exploratory drinking occasions, OSMO introduces Baby Cocktail, a new omakase style mini cocktail experience built around its philosophy of bastardized classics in compact form. 

Located in Melawai, South Jakarta, OSMO has quickly emerged as one of Indonesia’s most distinctive cocktail destinations. Recently named among Tatler Asia’s Best 20 Bars in Indonesia and awarded Best New Bar 2026 in the Best In Class category, the intimate speakeasy has built its reputation around making cocktails feel emotionally intuitive rather than intimidating. 

Rooted in its “No Big Deal” philosophy, OSMO approaches mixology through familiar references, playful reinterpretations, and an atmosphere that values comfort just as much as craft. 

The launch of Baby Cocktail reflects a broader global shift in nightlife behavior. Increasingly, younger drinkers are moving away from volume driven late night drinking culture in favor of earlier, more curated social experiences. Trend forecasting agency The Future Laboratory recently highlighted this movement toward “mindful indulgence,” where cocktail occasions begin earlier in the evening and focus more on exploration, atmosphere, and experience. 

For OSMO Co-Founder Hartono Moe, the shift feels especially relevant in Jakarta. “What we are seeing is not a decline in social drinking, but a refinement of it. Guests today want something lighter, more exploratory, and easier to enjoy earlier in the evening. Baby Cocktail allows people to experience more variety, more flavors, and more of OSMO’s philosophy in one sitting,” he shares. 

Curated by OSMO Co-Founder Agung “El Hombre” Satria, Baby Cocktail reimagines OSMO’s bastardized classics philosophy into a more compact and progressive format. Rather than presenting cocktails simultaneously as a traditional flight, each drink is served individually, accompanied by its own information card and tasting profile, creating a guided omakase style journey through flavor and structure. Each Baby Cocktail merges two recognizable cocktail structures into one unexpected identity, preserving familiarity while introducing surprise. 

Priced at IDR 99K++ per cocktail or IDR 289K++ for the complete experience, Baby Cocktail invites guests to explore three distinct bastardized classics served progressively in an omakase style format. Each cocktail reveals its own personality, flavor profile, and story, creating a journey designed to unfold from beginning to end. Baby Cocktail is available daily from 5 PM to 8 PM. 

“This is not simply about making cocktails smaller,” explains Agung. “It is about making complexity feel easy. We wanted guests to experience more exploration without the pressure of committing to full sized cocktails.”
