South Jakarta welcomes a new elevated afternoon ritual as the Lobby Lounge at Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel unveils Senja Rasa: Omakase Tea Experience, a refined experiential high tea concept inspired by the warmth, flavors, and atmosphere of Indonesia during golden hour.

 

Positioned as Jakarta’s Social Living Room, the Lobby Lounge offers more than a place to dine. It is a welcoming sanctuary where conversation, culture, business, and social gatherings naturally come together in the heart of South Jakarta. Throughout the day, the space evolves seamlessly from relaxed coffee moments into sophisticated sunset experiences, creating an inviting destination where guests connect and linger.

 

Available Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 4 PM, Senja Rasa transforms the traditional afternoon tea into a four-act omakase-inspired culinary journey designed to be shared, savored, and remembered. Priced at IDR 328,000++ per two persons, the all-inclusive experience includes a complete four-act curated menu, Dilmah tea pairing, coffee, and two signature handcrafted mocktails inspired by the colors of sunset.

 

As the golden hour unfolds, guests are invited into a theatrical dining experience where each course is presented sequentially, with selected dishes finished live by the chef to create anticipation, interaction, and storytelling. Inspired by Indonesian culinary heritage, the journey moves gracefully through refreshing coastal flavors, bold Nusantara spices, comforting warmth, and nostalgic sweet endings.

ACT I — Awal Rasa

A Fresh Beginning Inspired by Indonesia’s Coastline

The experience begins with light and vibrant flavors crafted to awaken the palate. Creations such as ‘Tahu Gejrot’ Lobster Pesisir and Panada Tuna Kembang Goyang present delicate seafood notes layered with tangy tamarind, savory spices, and refined textures inspired by Indonesia’s coastal heritage.

 

This opening act is paired with Dilmah Lychee Tea, selected for its fruity freshness and palate-cleansing qualities that complement the bright and refreshing character of the dishes. Completing the moment is Senja Tropika, a handcrafted mocktail combining tamarind, pineapple, and citrus notes inspired by the golden hues of sunset.

 

ACT II — Rasa Nusantara Berani

As the journey deepens, the flavors become richer and more expressive. Through dishes such as Wagyu Marangi GulungMpek-Mpek Mushi, and Ayam Geprek Pohpohan, the experience celebrates Indonesia’s vibrant spice culture and aromatic depth through refined modern execution.

 

Paired with Dilmah Earl Grey Tea, this act creates harmony between richness and balance. The tea’s elegant body and subtle citrus notes complement the spices and umami elements while refreshing the palate between each course. Live finishing moments throughout the experience add an engaging sense of theatre that elevates the omakase concept.

 

ACT III — Inti Kehangatan

At the center of the experience lies warmth and familiarity through Nasi Goreng Buntut Rempah Senja, a refined interpretation of Indonesia’s beloved fried rice enriched with aromatic spices and tender oxtail.

 

The course is paired with Dilmah Moroccan Mint Tea, offering a refreshing herbal character that balances the richness of the dish while cleansing the palate with a smooth and cooling finish.

The final act concludes the journey with nostalgic Indonesian-inspired desserts reimagined through elegant contemporary presentation. Guests will discover creations such as Brûlée STMJ Karamel with live torch finishing, Black Forest “Permen Kojek”Ketan Susu Mangga‘Klepon’ Kunafa, and Pisang Goreng Madu.
