As the seasons shift from spring into the warmth of early summer in Japan, Atsumaru Izakaya celebrates by inviting guests to embrace the changing rhythm with Takenoko Matsuri, a limited-time celebration of Japan’s beloved seasonal ingredient—takenoko, or fresh bamboo shoot, from 9 May - 30 June 2025.
Takenoko Matsuri at Atsumaru Izakaya features a curated food and drink menu that highlights the lightness and vibrancy of the season. The star of the culinary lineup is takenoko, known for its delicate crunch and earthy flavor. Guests can enjoy this treasured spring ingredient through flavorful creations such as:

- Takenoko To Gyu Bara Ninniku Itame: Stir-fried bamboo shoots and beef belly with garlic
- Takenoko Kamameshi: Traditional iron pot rice with tender bamboo shoots
- Piri Kara Takenoko Amazu Zuke: Spicy-sweet pickled bamboo shoots
- Ichigo Daifuku: A refreshing strawberry mochi dessert to close the meal on a sweet note

Complementing the food is a trio of refreshing umeshu-based cocktails, each designed to capture the essence of springtime sipping:
- Classic Umeshu Soda: Choya classic with chilled soda water
- Green Tea Umeshu: Choya green tea, matcha syrup, and a splash of lime
- Ginger Honey Umeshu: Choya honey paired with ginger syrup and lime for a zesty finish
