The Penthouse at The Papilion welcomes the festive season with A Penthouse Kind of Christmas, a month-long celebration anchored by its much-loved Christmas Brunch series every Sunday and on December 25, and the new Dinner menu, courtesy of Chef Tita Juwadi’s new Two-Pan Dinner, served throughout December. From the entrance to each room, The Penthouse has fully embraced the holidays. Every corner glows: warm trees lighting up The Library, classic greenery wrapped around the bar, the gentle hum of jazz floating through the halls, and a newly revamped Pantry that feels like a holiday home restored. The Pantry’s transformation introduces rich green walls, new drapery and lampshades by French maison Antoinette Poisson, and the iconic La Cornue Château range at the heart of the open kitchen.
Christmas Brunch: A Penthouse Tradition
Every Sunday and on Christmas Day, The Penthouse hosts its signature Christmas Brunch. A curated, abundant feast featuring the award-winning Huize van Wely’s beloved holiday dessert table, complete with panettone, chocolate wreaths, pralines, tartlets, Christmas ice cakes, and seasonal confections. Guests will also enjoy Japanese cold somen, sushi, and sukiyaki from Chef Takahashi Hideaki, alongside carving stations of roast beef and roast turkey, pasta made à la minute in a Grana Padano cheese wheel, seafood, salads, Western classics, and Indonesian comfort favourites. Champagne, cocktails, and house wines complete the afternoon. Designed for families, groups, and festive gatherings, Christmas Brunch is open to all party sizes and welcomes long, lingering celebrations.

Throughout December, evenings at The Pantry are marked by the return of Two-Pan Dinner, created for the season by Chef Tita Juwadi. The menu features toasted sourdough with parsley-Pernod butter, a comforting spaghetti with confit garlic and sundried cherry tomatoes, a choice of velvet roast chicken or striploin steak, and Huize van Wely’s Christmas ice cake for dessert. Served against the backdrop of The Pantry’s new holiday glow, dinner here feels intimate, warm, and unmistakably December.
