The summer season brings a wave of fun and carefree enjoyment, perfectly captured by the LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza collection. This collection draws inspiration from the iconic Paula’s boutique, synonymous with the countercultural movement of the 1970s and the essence of island life. The latest LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza collection offers a playful wardrobe brimming with vibrant energy, ideal for both city and holiday summer occasions, music festivals, and leisurely strolls, all imbued with LOEWE’s unmistakable sense of ease and distinctive craftsmanship.
In womenswear, the collection exudes fluid femininity and spontaneity with a graphic edge. Archive scarf prints adorn dresses and shirts, while crop tops pair with asymmetrical ruffle miniskirts to create dynamic movement. Menswear features these prints on loose shirts and bottoms, but it’s the stripes on oversized tops and baggy, west-coast style shorts that truly stand out. The collection also showcases hyper-coloured prints by artist Douglas Abraham, with abstract dice, teddy bear, and planet motifs embellishing T-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, and swimwear.
LOEWE’s signature basketry is explored in new woven raffia versions of the iconic Puzzle and Puzzle Fold tote, as well as the Font tote and Iraca Basket in fresh colors. The woven raffia Puzzle bag features graphic stripes that follow its cuts, creating unique variations in design and pattern. Leather takes center stage with the new Flamenco Bucket bag, crafted from mellow nappa lambskin for a versatile day-to-night accessory. Playful leather accessories adorned with tropical fruits, mixed raffia and leather pouches inspired by animals, wallets, and charms add a personalized touch to bags, complemented by a wide selection of colorful animal pins.
The footwear collection includes espadrilles showcasing natural fiber craftsmanship, light sandals, and foam slides with pebble details in crystal and metallic effects. Soft leather or brushed suede biker boots, available for both men and women, add a twist to the looks. Low-cut lace-up or slip-on sneakers complete the skater-inspired men’s image, while the streamlined Sporty Mask crafted in acetate offers a distinctive wraparound eyewear option.
The visual portfolio, shot by Gray Sorrenti, features a diverse array of international musicians and creatives who embody Paula’s spirit. The portraits exude ease and a laid-back attitude, capturing subjects in a relaxed, nondescript setting—whether lounging on a giant carpet, resting on pillows, or playing with a butterfly or parrot. The cast includes Latin Trap star Young Miko, American rapper and singer-songwriter Kevin Abstract, LOEWE Global Brand Ambassador and NCT member TAEYONG, Grammy-winning artist Yebba Smith, American singer-songwriter 070 Shake, and Irish actress Alison Oliver. This diversity reflects Paula’s open, inclusive spirit. Still life images showcase amusing compositions of accessories and vegetables, playfully nodding to the collection’s vegetable motifs.
Strengthening the musical theme, a series of images are composed as collages with replicated objects and unexpected backgrounds like graph paper, evoking vintage record sleeves or music posters.
In a gesture of support, LOEWE will donate a portion of the proceeds from each basket bag sold to local communities who handweave them. These donations will fund university scholarships in Colombia, build a craft training school in Madagascar, and provide humanitarian relief following the 2023 earthquake in Morocco.
