The Westin Jakarta together with Siji Art Management held a mangrove planting at Mangrove Ecotourism PIK on Sunday, 30 June 2024. Organized by LindungiHutan, a total of 425 mangrove trees were planted from the funds raised from the auction of a painting by Iwan Suhaya, an experienced Indonesian realism painter. The mangrove planting was also attended by representatives from Kejaksaan Tinggi DKI Jakarta, Wakil Kepala Kejaksaan Tinggi DKI Jakarta Sutikno, S.H., M.H. and Asisten Intelijen Asep Sontani Sunarya, S.H., C.N.
In commemoration of Earth Day back in April 2024, Iwan Suhaya specially created his painting of Jalak Bali or Bali Starling titled “Harmony” which was auctioned during the opening of ‘Gelombang Ekspresi’ art exhibition at Champagne Lounge, The Westin Jakarta.
The collaboration between Siji Art Management and The Westin Jakarta not only provides a visual exhibition but also allows both parties to express the concern for the environment.
