Sheraton Grand Jakarta Shines a Light on Earth Hour with Glow-in-the-Dark Art

Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel

Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel joined the global Earth Hour movement on March 23, 2024, with a creative and sustainable initiative. As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental conservation, the hotel invited guests and staff to participate in a unique art project in the lobby area.

During the event, participants painted the number 60, symbolizing Earth Hour, on a canvas made from recycled bed sheets using glow-in-the-dark paint. This interactive art installation not only raised awareness about energy conservation but also showcased the hotel's dedication to sustainability.

To enhance the atmosphere, a live band from the lobby lounge provided musical entertainment, creating a vibrant ambiance for guests and staff. Additionally, candles were lit along the hallway of the lobby floor, further reducing energy consumption and adding to the Earth Hour experience.

Guests were encouraged to join the initiative from their rooms by turning off non-essential lights and supporting the hotel's efforts to save energy. Through these collective actions, Sheraton Grand Jakarta demonstrated its commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement.

By combining art, music, and environmental activism, Sheraton Grand Jakarta transformed Earth Hour into a memorable and impactful event. The hotel's innovative approach not only highlighted the importance of energy conservation but also inspired guests to take action in their own lives.
